Who We Are

Cisco ThousandEyes is a Digital Experience Assurance platform that empowers organizations to deliver flawless digital experiences across every network – even the ones they don’t own. Powered by AI and an unmatched set of cloud, internet and enterprise network telemetry data, ThousandEyes enables IT teams to proactively detect, diagnose, and remediate issues – before they impact end- user experiences.

ThousandEyes is deeply integrated across the entire Cisco technology portfolio and beyond, helping customers deploy at scale while also delivering AI-powered assurance insights within Cisco’s leading Networking, Security, Collaboration, and Observability portfolios.

About the Role

ThousandEyes is looking for a Product Designer who is excited to design and deliver best-in-class user experiences for our Intelligence and Endpoints Business’. Intelligence and Endpoints are built upon a large multi-domain dataset collected within the ThousandEyes platform. Providing advanced cross-layer correlation, intelligent event detection, forecasting, recommendations, and endpoint monitoring.

Join our AI platform team to design dashboards that leverage AI tools, including natural language queries, to enhance data visualization and integration capabilities. This role focuses on creating intuitive interfaces that help users easily interpret complex data.

You will work with our customers, engineers, product management, and customer success to determine design requirements, create mockups, and user workflows, do user research, and provide feedback to constantly improve our product. You will be part of the full product development cycle, from strategic user decisions to pixel-perfect design delivery.

We are looking for someone who can collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to make complex, technical concepts intuitive and be responsible for designing broad areas of our product.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Design, you’ll be responsible for chartering the design direction for some of the most important capabilities within our platform. As a product designer, you can expect to operate as an end-to-end product designer:

  • Design, conduct, and synthesize user research activities to help build a deep understanding of our users and address usability issues
  • Create user journeys, wireframes, detailed UX flows, prototypes, UI mockups, sketches, visuals, decks, and explanations that promote understanding and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Simplify complexities around data visualization, helping our users get actionable insights seamlessly
  • Iterate based on feedback from various team members, users, and subject matter experts
  • Drive design decisions based on data from user metrics and qualitative interviews
  • Design Acumen: You will work closely with our team of product managers and engineers to understand the customer problems and apply design thinking approaches to build simple, cohesive product experiences
  • Product Sense: Our favorite product designers bring together insights from every corner to design and build the best product experience.
  • Curiosity: The best candidates understand that creativity and growth start with a curious, humble mindset and asking thoughtful questions.
  • Ownership: The best product designers take the responsibility of delivering a successful product to heart, and step in wherever needed, even if crossing typical role boundaries; they never shy away from the details nor lose sight of the bigger picture.
  • Communication: Effective communication with any audience (company leadership, engineering, customers, and more) is key to success in this role
  • Attitude & Ambition: The best candidates are smart, hard-working, competitive, and unafraid to fail. They are a team first but willing to take the lead with minimal guidance and supervision.

Qualifications

  • Have 5+ years of Product Design experience, ideally with demonstrated success in enterprise/SaaS software products
  • Experience and/or a passion for working with data visualization
  • Have a portfolio that showcases a proven track record of shipping user-centric design work

Please be sure to include your portfolio link and password in order to be considered for this role.

Cisco values the perspectives and skills that emerge from employees with diverse backgrounds. That's why Cisco is expanding the boundaries of discovering top talent by not only focusing on candidates with educational degrees and experience but also placing more emphasis on unlocking potential. We believe that everyone has something to offer and that diverse teams are better equipped to solve problems, innovate, and create a positive impact.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification. Research shows that people from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy. We urge you not to prematurely exclude yourself and to apply if you're interested in this work.
