Meet the Team
The Cisco AI Software & Platform Group incubates and delivers Generative AI based solutions to reinvent Cisco's existing Products and how customers interact with them. Our Group is also introducing new offerings that help customers roll out Generative AI at scale while doing so responsibly. Ultimately, we are doing so through internal platforms that unlock the benefits of this technology for Cisco teams and partners across our Security, Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, and Splunk portfolios.
Your Impact
As a Director of Product for Cisco Cloud Control, you will be responsible for the team bringing new and innovative SaaS platform capabilities to Cisco’s customers and to our own product teams. You will deeply understand customer problems and the competitive landscape while focusing the team on the most appropriate segments and building a product roadmap to address the most relevant customer struggles. You will launch new features and capabilities, test their performance and experience, and iterate quickly.
You will tackle business plans, ROI analysis, crafting product positioning, buyer and user personas, use cases, and requirements. You will work closely with software engineers to iterate on and build solutions to the customer problems you have identified. You will measure and monitor user experience to ensure products continuously deliver meaningful customer value and excellent user experience. - You are comfortable interacting with senior management and peers and serving as their go to thought partner.
- You design and implement product features and programs that drive customer adoption, retention and growth, and track this success via metrics and data that you use to inform decisions and measure impact.
- You use customer-centric product strategy, developing and executing product roadmaps that prioritize customer needs, difficulties, and success metrics.
- You are a strong communicator, present with confidence and can influence partners at all levels of the organization.
- Your prior roles were in a fast-paced environment leading multiple product managers and driving successful cross functional engagement with related internal partners.
- Analytical with a creative mind, able to juggle many projects, manage expectations across multiple partners and process driven to address strategic challenges.
- Fast learner, able to understand new technologies and process changes and can synthesize strategic inputs from multiple diverse sources, including product leadership, engineering, and sales teams.
- Flexible and adaptable to shift strategies and tactics when required while being detail oriented, well organized, efficient with time management.
- You enjoy leading people and love to roll up your sleeves to get stuff done!
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 10 + years of professional work experience in a product management or a related role.
- 7 + years of work experience with SaaS products, engineering practices, business metrics, and product metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading a team of Product Managers and/or Engineering professionals
- Proven understanding of SaaS go-to-market (GTM) principles and practices
- Experience delivering security SaaS products
- Experience delivering components of a SaaS Cloud Platform
- Ability to connect with Senior Leaders and Executives clearly and with
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally within an organization to successfully deliver products to market
- Ability to understand, decompose, prioritize and manage sophisticated cross-functional programs and initiatives
- Ability to quickly acquire new skills and knowledge to solve any problem facing the business, even in areas that may be unfamiliar.
- Ability to engage on a technical level with engineers, partners, and customers.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with others using soft skills in a matrixed environment.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.
Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
