You will architect, design, develop, test, and debug state of the art software modules for the IO path of our distributed file-system. These software modules of the Cisco HyperFlex product provide a highly scalable distributed system of next generation hyperconverged nodes and services.
As a member of a key technical leader in the engineering team, you will propose solutions, design and implement innovative software, and ensure high quality software development. You will debug and fix defects, and deliver a high performance and high-quality software product.
Who You'll Work With
You will work with product management on writing detailed functional specifications for the features. You will work with various other file systems engineers to drive decisions and integrate your software modules into the product. You will work with QA on test plans, and on defect fixing. You will work with product support to collaborate with customers using your product. You will collaborate with other members of your team and multi-functional team to develop and integrate your components, and enhance your expertise as a systems software engineer.

You are an ambitious self-starter who enjoys new challenges and wants to be part of a winning team, as we continue to operate in start-up mode post the recent Cisco acquisition. You will have the opportunity to work and learn in a fast paced environment with a team of hardworking engineers, developing state of the art software in the Hyper-Converged Infrastructure space.
You will design, develop, test, and debug components of the distributed file system including performance considerations.
Software design and development experience in storage block/file-systems software, Distributed Systems, Quorum protocols, expertise in C programming is required.
You have a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with preferably 8+ years of distributed software development experience.
Experience in Distributed Systems and experience in virtualization technologies from VMware, HyperV and OpenStack is helpful.
