Who You'll Work With

Join this exciting team as a partner-focused Solutions Architect working with a top-tier team of engineers who have a phenomenal depth and breadth of Cisco expertise. The partners we support sell to the U.S. Government. This position is for partner-focused engineering activities covering the Federal segment and is located in DC, VA, or MD.

 

What You'll Do

  • Develop and deliver on technical strategies across the base of partners.
  • Partner with the sales leader for this operation in support of our channel partners.
  • Maintain broad technical knowledge with the ability to define solutions that span across product boundaries.
  • Develop relationships with and influence key partner executives and technical leads.
  • Enthusiastically engage partners involved in strategic deals and co-develop outstanding, differentiated offerings.
  • Facilitate joint solution developments with partners.
  • Keep current on technologies and technical trends, and share these with the team and your business partner.
  • Provide partner technical leaders and executives with customized technology & solutions presentations and whiteboard discussions.
  • Actively participate as a technical architect across multiple technologies and provide consultative support and mentorship to other Systems Engineers.
  • Collaborate with key partners on architecture disciplines and best practices via blogs, VODs, WebEx sessions, partner-based architecture groups and TOIs.
  • Develop architecture collateral relevant to the partner community (Reference architectures, 5-year architecture visions, white papers, etc.).
  • Establish relationships with internal technical and sales leadership team, Cisco's Business Units, product lines, and associated product managers.
  • Be proactive, self-starting, punctual, responsive, and available in your engagements and communications to partners, peers, and extended team members and engagements.
  • Support Cisco culture by sharing technical, professional, and sales skills and knowledge with others.

 

 

Who You Are

  • The candidate must be a US citizen.
  • 4+ years of technical experience in relevant technology field.
  • BS/BA preferred.
  • Deep technical aptitude and knowledge of Cisco Enterprise Networking technologies and solutions. Additional knowledge in Service Provider technologies and/or Data Center Networking, along with Automation and Programmability will be a plus.
  • Experience with selling to or working with the U.S. Government.
  • Executive presence with excellent written & verbal communication skills and an ability to lead in a team setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate Cisco market intelligence resources for industry knowledge and trends.
  • Ability to work effectively and contribute both independently and as a cross-functional team member.
  • Cisco and/or industry certifications are desirable, but not required.
