Cisco’s flagship CSR program called Cisco Networking Academy celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year. It is an internationally recognized IT skills and career-building program that’s available free to learning institutions. The program has reached 17.57+ million students in 190 countries across the globe. Cisco Networking Academy partners with colleges, universities, vocational schools, public sector, and nonprofits across the country, and ensures opportunities are evenly dispersed based on age, gender, and economic diversity, plus, open to those with disabilities. In Malaysia, over the past 23 years Cisco has supported the training of over 129K students through 119 partnerships. 98% of students in Malaysia completing a Cisco Certified course report that the program has assisted them to gain a new Job or a better educational opportunity.

What You'll do:

This is an exciting new opportunity to drive skill development initiatives for Cisco Malaysia.

You will be responsible for partners and programs that drive student growth in vocational, professional, and the underemployed youth sectors.

  • Managing the operations of NetAcad in Malaysia, you will work closely with our academy support partners.
  • Work with in-country/regional teams to align the program with meaningful corporate initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing disciplines, product teams, subject matter experts to develop Networking Academy positioning for target audiences and generates business relevance for Cisco.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with external partners (public sector, colleges, universities, vocational) to achieve both social and business impact of NetAcad.
  • Work with state & central government agencies, colleges, universities, and polytechnics to grow the NetAcad Program.

Who You Are:

You will understand the Public Sector in Malaysia, especially around vocational and technical education; and are able to establish relationships at mid-level within Public Sector.

  • Strong working knowledge of technology trends and innovations in the education market; a plus if in sectors with high relevance to Networking or Cybersecurity.
  • Ability to handle and orchestrate complex cross-functional (internal and external teams) projects and programs.
  • Ability to build the link between technology and social/business impact. Clearly understand business processes and operations.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Most importantly you must be an individual who strongly believes in the power of teamwork, collaboration, and partnerships. Self-starter, influencer, and excellent communicator. Ability to work autonomously, make independent decisions, with strong accountability and responsibility.

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
