Network Engineer - Security

If you hold active security clearances, want to support the mission, and are located in RTP, please call me. An experienced Security Architect is needed to develop mission solutions for the customer. This individual will have an in-depth understanding of network security, the cyber environment, and be able to design and implement networks which are secure.
What You'll Do
This is a hands-on role, where your technical leadership will be used to define, architect and implement new systems which provide enhanced mission capabilities for our customers. In this position, you will be a designing networks, and programming the devices to meet customer requirements. An in-depth understanding of Cisco networking and security products is required. Hands-on experience in evaluating the security of a network design, and making improvements is required. The ability to identify security flaws and correct them is a must. You will need to be able to work interdependently and effectively in cross functional teams. You will coordinate closely with Cisco experts and outside technical expertise where appropriate. You will continuously acquire and share technical, industry, and Cisco architectural perspectives and knowledge with the customer community, partner community and within Cisco.

Who You Are
You must be a US citizen located in the Raleigh, NC area, and presently hold an active security clearance. You have an extensive background and in-depth understanding of network security. You have hands-on skills in developing highly secure architectures. You are high energy, possess a "no-fail" outlook, highly collaborative style with a thorough understanding of networking. You will have an open communication style and a willingness and ability to work with teams and are able to leverage knowledge to help solve technically challenging problems presented by clients. You use a high degree of logical reasoning ability and are intellectually curious with an intuitive feel for applying numbers, sense of proportion and appropriate orders of magnitude. Our minimum requirements for this role:
- Must be based in RTP (Research Triangle Park, NC)
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must presently hold a security clearance
- A bachelor of science degree in a technical field
- Experienced track record working network security
- Minimum 7-25 years of experience
- Distinctive career history problem solving and issue resolution
- Extensive hands-on networking security experience
