Multimedia Instructional Design Lead

The Webex Education team in the Global Collaboration Sales organization is looking for a Multimedia Instructional Designer to help us build a new education and coaching program called Webex Grow. Webex Grow is designed to grow the knowledge and skills needed for the Collaboration sales team to sell our hybrid work portfolio.

In this role, you will work with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME) to plan, design, and develop multimedia training curricula. You will devise instructional strategies and course-related learning activities, build interactive e-learning experiences, create assessment mechanisms, produce videos, and create graphics and illustrations. The successful candidate will employ knowledge, skills, and expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, curriculum development, video production, graphic design, and LMS content management.

What You'll Do

  • Work with SME to develop lessons, learning paths, certifications, assessments, and gamification elements.
  • Implement sound pedagogical and instructional design principles.
  • Create and review instructional design documents and blueprints for course planning and production.
  • Create graphics, illustrations, icons, and infographics to enhance the learning experience.
  • Produce training videos (storyboarding, script writings, post-production).
  • Facilitate content reviews and ensure quality standards and content accuracy.
  • Test lessons, learning paths, and on-demand practice elements.
  • Review and assess third-party content for the purpose of curation.
  • Recommend improvements and revisions to course content delivery and engagement.
  • Process content for localization.
  • Initiate content maintenance cycles.
  • Review learner feedback for content issues and errors.
  • Set up LMS templates, library elements, content tags, and triggers.
  • Manage the source file repository.
  • Develop and maintain content development process and procedure documentation.

Who You Are

A person who wants to join a team passionate about creating a compelling, engaging, and interactive learning experience for professional learners. You'll have:

  • At least 7+ years of experience in instructional design, content development, graphic design, and video production.
  • Experience in developing training videos, simulations, learning games, and story-based learning experiences.
  • Working knowledge of online course design principles and evaluation methods.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Audition, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Articulate 360 or Captivate, and Office 365 software.
  • Proficiency with CMS and LMS platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and managers.
  • Proven project management experience and the ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects with tight deadlines.
