What You'll Do
This Managing Director of Sales role is a leadership position delivering high impact solutions focused on customer outcomes, where you will be responsible for $250M+ in revenue for Verizon. You will build relationships and trusted advisor status within all levels of the customer. You will have direct responsibility for the product and services strategy and execution and will report to the Telco Mobile Area VP within Americas Service Provider.
Who You'll Work With
You will use your experience to strategically drive Cisco's end-to-end vision for Verizon, as well as maintain an in-depth understanding of industry conditions, industry practices, market opportunities, and customer requirements. In addition to leading "one winning team", you will work closely and with Cisco's most senior executives within Channels, Services, Technology Business Units, and Cisco's Executive Sales team. You will be expected to motivate, encourage, and continually develop your team while managing conflict and taking on the competition.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a reputation and track record of success as an exemplary sales leader. In this key leadership role, you will continue the development of our sales delivery model through the capability of highly talented and motivated sales organization. You know how to build and lead in a matrix-managed team culture. To succeed, you will have an engaging personality to inspire and create excitement with your sales team as well as across the entire organization and in the marketplace. You will also be strategic and innovative with an external awareness to understand the nuances of selling complex solutions as Cisco expands its market share. Utilizing a consultative style, you are experienced in teaching and developing your teams to identify and define client needs and develop innovative solutions.
You are a senior manager with 15+ years' sales experience, and 10+ years in a general management position within the Information Technology industry.
Demonstrated track record managing significant revenue responsibility and or profit/loss center and overachieving targets to meet stretch goals
Demonstrated ability to provide executive presence, thought leadership, strategic vision, and effective communication skills with the ability to persuade – using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, inspiring and creative way.
Proven ability to work cross functionally with engineering, finance, legal, capital, etc. to drive timely execution of customer requirements.
Strategic and innovative with an external awareness to adapt to market transitions and understand the nuances of selling complex solutions.
Dedication and commitment to seeing the highest levels of service delivery to clients.
Ability to identify and implement new profitable Cisco products and services that can be effectively sold within the marketplace.
