Cisco Web-scale Business Development Leader, Africa

Want to work on emerging technology solutions & business models with world’s leading brands of Public & Social cloud players (Google, Amazon, Facebook etc.) in a highly strategic & visible role, influencing not only the direction of Cisco Web team but broader Cisco?

Emerging markets as a major growth area for Cisco & Web-scale providers and Cisco web-scale team is looking for Business Development leader to lead Cisco’s engagement with Web-scale providers across mid to term opportunities in Africa & drive net new Sell TO & Sell WITH revenue for Cisco.

What You’ll Do

  • Identifying new market, technology, customer trends. Jointly ideating new offers, developing hypothesis with Web-scale providers
  • Testing hypothesis & co-creating new services with Web-scale players & Cisco regional teams & end customers (consumers, enterprises, SMB)
  • this will lead by BUs, but staying across as the overall owner
  • Building right GTM including partnerships across various Cisco teams (SP Africa, Enterprise, Public Sector etc.) to make the new offer successful and delivering net new revenue for Web-scale & Cisco (both sell TO & Sell WITH) within 12-15 months

Role Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop co-create new solutions and business models with SPs & Cloud service providers (preferred)
  • Understanding of developing large scale joint GTM partnerships
  • Comprehensive understanding of Next Billion Users, 5G & Country transformation market & other emerging technology / business models.
  • Self starter with curiosity about emerging trends and what new business models it can enable
  • Strong ideation to execution discipline
  • Master orchestrator, with experience in collaborating with cross-functional organizations such as BU/Products/Engineering/Sales/Customer Experience etc. especially in large organizations to “own” engagements around large complex initiatives
  • Good technology understanding with world class ability to convert trends into business relevance, usecases & value prop
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain extensive customer relationships with key customer product & business development teams
  • Engineering, with MBA (preferred)

  • Your tag Team partner(s): Cisco BDMs & Technology architect(s) in Web US team
  • Other supporting teams: Corporate Strategy teams, Cisco Product Business Unit leads, local sales teams
