YOU:

As our new Manager, Operations Project Management, you will lead a team of project managers who are further expanding Meraki’s role in Cisco’s worldwide sales portfolio and optimizing our current systems to scale with Meraki’s terrific year over year sales growth. You will advise on managing process/technology projects required to support corporate strategy and initiatives, and improve internal operations in a precise, efficient manner.  You are an experienced professional using best practices, specialized expertise, and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve operational services. You work independently and receive some guidance and direction from your manager then determine the best approach to accomplish work. You act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and solve complex problems while taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. You help develop talent, perform day-to-day people leadership, drive processes, and help solve highly complex problems by identifying viable and often innovative options, and using analytical skills and judgment to recommend appropriate solutions.


What You Will Do:

Cisco Meraki is looking for a new Manager of Operations Project Management to join our Operations Team in Chicago! As the fastest growing cloud-managed networking team in the world, our products and technology architecture are changing the face of enterprise networking and making cloud-managed IT a reality.   • Lead a team of project managers responsible for medium-to-large sized complex projects with moderate to high risk and solutions that may require collaboration among cross-functional teams and multiple interdependencies potentially impacting many applications

  • Interpret internal/external business challenges, consult on or recommend best practices to improve project outcomes, processes, or services

  • Validate project scopes, plans, success metrics, schedules, risks, and mitigation plans for complex projects

  • Apply standards for project delivery process, roles and responsibilities, operational norms, and compliance

  • Collaborate with high-level individual contributors and managers, and interface with clients

  • Develop partnerships with stakeholders to build support, secure sponsorship, and ensure alignment for project outcomes 

  • Drive change management discipline by validating project impacts, and consult on plans for building awareness, support, and training to manage change and drive adoption within the organization

  • Create or reengineer processes to improve productivity and project quality

  • 7+ years of related project/program management experience and a bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree and 4+ years of related experience

  • Experience leading an Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Country Enablement team of project managers

  • Strong knowledge of processes and activities needed to identify, define, combine, unify, and coordinate various processes and project management activities, including scope, time, cost, quality, and change management

  • Strong skills in planning and prioritization, risk identification and management, and time and productivity management

  • Strong business networking, client management, consulting and partnering, facilitation, conflict management, negotiation, change management, coaching and presentation & demonstration skills
