Who You’ll Work With

The Team -The Core Software Group - Internet of Things (CSG-IOT) is responsible for Cisco's product portfolio for the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) market. The group develops variety of products suited for manufacturing, smart grid, transportation, physical security and embedded use-cases.

Who You Are

An engineer with bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field (MS preferred). Over 12 years of experience as an individual contributor in real-time embedded platform software development. CCNA, CCNP, or other Cisco certifications will be a plus.

Skills

Software Architecture and Development

Proficiency in C/C++

Programming skills

Good understanding of data structures and algorithms

Experience in L2 / L3 Network development

Experience in PTP/Timing protocols

Experience in ASIC programming, protocol development using FPGA

Platform development experience

Hands on experience in development of networking stack

Good understanding of TCP/IP based network protocols

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Good understanding of real time operating systems

Other Skills

Mentoring other team members

Ability to widely apply networking principles, theories and field concepts to product development and possession of solid understanding of related fields.

Understand related products' architecture. Understand competitive products.

Ability to apply new technology independently.

Ability to build multiple subsystem architecture.
