What You'll Do

As a Senior Engineering Manager you will be

  • Execution-oriented, collaborative, and innovative leader responsible for the software architecture, engineering, integration and innovation for IOT products.
  • Lead, develop and grow a team of highly motivated engineers to deliver world-class products
  • Drive execution of IoT Operations Dashboard product and infrastructure initiatives, continually raising the bar on ease of use, reliability and scalability
  • Provide technical leadership to team members and across the organization
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, product and design teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with multi-functional core stakeholders within both engineering, product management and field teams to lead the technology direction, facilitate key technical decision points, and take the architecture specifications into working engineering outcomes.
  • Work with multiple engineering groups in Cisco, who are responsible for developing the infrastructure and products that define a complete security policy and access solution.
  • Commit to road maps with capabilities and timelines, with a proven track of product development delivered with quality on time.
  • Align technology to business strategy, and proactively drive a technical direction throughout the organization
  • Document and align with quality processes following a CI/CD methodology

Who You Are

  • 12- 15 years’ proven experience in software engineering leadership roles
  • Strong engineering delivery and execution track record, with validated experience around design concepts, development, quality, integration, testing, etc
  • You have led large-scale, complex projects and are a thought leader with proven ability to transform teams, technology models, and drive business outcomes.
  • Ability to attract talent, encourage the organization, and develop the next generation of leaders
  • Ability to build trusting, meaningful relationships with peers, stakeholders, and partners both internal and external to Cisco
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical influencing, conflict management, negotiation, public presenting
  • Full dedication to customer happiness and the highest ethical standards
  • Identify and drive innovation in Cisco products
  • Strong eye for business and industry insight, thought leadership
  • Leadership skills to include coaching/mentoring, critical thinking, facilitation, change leadership, and team development
  • Thorough understanding of scale-out software architectures for on premises and cloud hosted environments across all layers (infrastructure, security, compliance, operations, and software life cycle management)

Technical Knowledge

  • Software development and overall automation including Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, Continuous Integration, build and test automation, performance & scale
  • Strong experience in building scale out multi-tenant SaaS products on AWS, application architecture/design,
  • automation, testing, compliance and security
  • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline, framework development
