The successful candidate will join our expanding Operations team, to support our customers and internal stakeholders and help to drive the direction of future products and services.
Key responsibilities will be to
Maintaining and managing both AWS and non-AWS servers
Involved with deployments and other process-driven tasks
Report generation and supporting business services via SQL generation and ad hoc data queries
Liaise with internal and external suppliers providing services to Textlocal
Act as an escalation point for the L2 support team and to support the development team
Out of hours cover as part of an on-call rota
Good knowledge of Linux servers
Experience with containerisation and virtualisation
Experience with Amazon Web Services
At least 2 years MySQL/SQL experience
Attention to detail with risk-averse thought processes
Analytical and innovative approach to problem solving
Effective communication skills both verbally and written
Good team working skills, self-motivated with the ability to work under own initiative
Making good decisions backed up with strong evidence
Other desirable skills
Knowledge of PHP and or Java would be advantageous
Knowledge around web/SaaS online tools would be advantageous
Experience using tools such as ServiceNow, Salesforce and JIRA
Experience using WireShark
