Meraki invites enthusiastic Hardware Engineers to apply to its yearlong Coop programme in summer 2024.
Todays world runs on the Internet, which cannot exist without its underlying infrastructure. Meraki makes setting up, managing, and maintaining that infrastructure easier than it has ever been before. We enable connectivity everywhere, from cafes and universities to global hospitality groups operating thousands of sites.
Throughout this Meraki experience your focus will center around our Radio Frequencies (RF) and wireless projects where you'll practice and perfect your skills. Operating within a small team, you will become effective in tasks such as calibrating multiple units, capturing data and bench validation. In addition, you'll become familiar with the expertise and equipment required to perform RF validation, calibration, design and S collaborations.
You should have experience of, or be ready to learn how to:
Write-up the Radio bringup process for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Ultra-wideband (UWB), Global Positioning System (GPS) on Sharepoint/Confluence.
Carry out performance testing and evaluation on radio technologies.
Evaluate and compare different indoor locationing technologies
Configure Ultra-wideband, traveling-wave reactor, Phase Difference of Arrival (PDoA)/Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) board calibration.
Compare Radio Frequencies, Engineering Validation Testing and Design Validation Testing data between multiple units, highlight inconsistencies or failures
Operate within the Ultra-wideband manufacturing process: in defining the radio factory calibration
Work with an Independent Contract vendor and Japanese Domestic Market to develop a Mixed Flowing Gas (MFG) test plan

- Studying BSc / MA in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, and / or Computer Science or a related field, within a University, Community College or other Accredited Course?
- Graduating around Spring / Summer 2026 (inclusive of a yearlong industry placement)
- Knowledgeable and understanding of Radio Frequency designs, including spectrum analyzer and RF signal generator or manufacturing test equipment.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
