Cisco's Corporate FP&A team is looking for a Financial Analyst to build process and templates for the Quarterly Business Outlook (QBO).   This includes collecting and consolidating input from Business Entity Finance (BEF), Sales and Services Finance (SSF), and Customer Experience FP&A. The end result is to summarize the outlook into presentation for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT). 

We are looking for a builder who can create queries and implement efficient processes to help build the packages used by the ELT.   

In the current plan cycle, we'll begin implementing many of the recurring metrics that have become so important to how we track the business.  So an ability to learn RPO/ARR and become a knowledge resource is part of this role. 

You will partner with Office of the CEO, Strategy and Planning Teams across Cisco, while working closely with their Finance partners to ensure the financial data used in ELT presentations is consistent across the company.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the collection of QBO inputs for the Quarterly Business Outlook meetings held by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
  • Work collaboratively within the team to understand the plan and commit details to be used as measurements in QBO
  • Work to improve the process around QBO preparation and ensure we are delivering the latest per request from the ELT
  • Work with PPMT (Planning and Performance Management Team) and IT to optimize data flows
  • As part of the Corporate FP&A team, assist in BoD  slides and Earnings preparation



In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with a wide range of teams, including Office of the CEO, Strategy and Planning team and FP&A leads throughout Cisco.




  • Comfortable with working under tight timelines, particularly during QBO time.
  • Great communication skills and comfortable presenting to Management
  • A Creator who can handle data with efficiency and accuracy 
  • Able to build queries, communicate data flows, and build tools in excel, FinBI, Essbase, Tableau
  • Organized 
  • Someone who knows the work is not done until the files and folders are clean enough for consumption 




Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance + 5 years of related experience, or MBA + 3 years of related experience

Ability to work in a collaborative environment and interact at all levels of the organization

Familiar with quarterly and annual budgeting and planning process
