Who You Are

As an Engineering Transformation Manager in Cloud Security Engineering, you will be working very closely with technical experts supporting a broad coalition of Cloud Security Engineers and our leadership teams.

You're passionate about building security into products and have a strong focus on tools and process to make it happen. You enjoy working technically innovative environment that's fast paced, yet you take time to establish relationships and drive consensus. You're enterprising, calling out issues you see and collaborating to find solutions. Self-motivated, you drive issues to closure, while being willing to roll-up your sleeves when needed. You focus on process, constantly driving to make things better. As the most organized person in the room, with a persuasive communication style, you excel at bringing people together in a shared understanding and vision.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related technical field; MSEE, MSCS or MS## or another technical field preferred
  • 5+ years working with Jira/Confluence, including building dashboards and integrations with other tools.
  • 3+ years in a Program Management position
  • 10+ years or more experience in the networking/technology industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong preference for program management experience within software cloud environments; solid track record of successful program management; Demonstrated history and ability to take a leadership role in leading programs.
  • Thorough understanding of Security principles.
  • Fine-tuned understanding of and expertise in Lean Enterprise / Agile / Kanban practices and supporting tools
  • Ability to understand, discuss / communicate technical concepts, with both technical and non-technical individuals. Comfortable interpreting data to translate and present as business insights.
  • Ability to interact with the executive team to provide timely/critical information and data.
  • Able to communicate well with multi-functional team members; able to efficiently collaborate with and influence team members to achieve project goals and contribute positively to the engineering community environment.
  • Strong collaborative, coordination and facilitation skills, and enjoy working with geographically distributed teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead business initiatives and multi-functional programs for the successful delivery
  • Craft executive summaries and dashboards from the various project status updates and data insights. Craft powerful presentations to covert an idea into a business narrative
  • Define the objectives, agenda, and goals for the key business meetings such as staff meetings, QBRs, and leadership workshops.
  • Partner with a global community of engineering leaders to understand the product strategy, roadmap commitments, and targeted customer outcomes for the interlocks.
  • Believe in the value of making customer success and work with the product teams to improve the NPS scores.
  • Influence teams to shift to consistent best processes and practices. Design and own an efficient operations cadence model for our Cloud Security organization. Build the process and tools to drive transparency and alignment across a large group of teams delivering cloud solutions. Maintain a knowledge base that will be used in audits as well as to give a broad overview of the workings of our organization.
  • Ensure clear communication at all levels of the organization: status, roadblocks and needs of the team, as well as recognizing and celebrating successes.
  • Track budget needs - headcount, opex, capex, cogs, etc.
  • Lead the quarterly goals review process and continuous updates. Drive retrospectives and measurable process improvement efforts.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
