Cisco’s Customer Experience (CX) organization is one of Cisco’s fastest growing teams, and the Customer & Partner Experience Engineering (CPXE) group is transforming how Cisco delivers value to our customers & partners via our product portfolio. The CPXE organization is the team that is in the epicenter of developing modern, cloud native technologies in support of the evolving CX Product portfolio. To lay hold of this exciting vision, we are looking for top talent to deliver high performing, distributed engineering teams that will redefine success for Cisco and our customers. 

What you'll do 

This role is core to CPXE’s vision and strategy of creating SaaS software that delivers the industry’s best customer experience while at the same time helping customers adopt and operationalize their Cisco technology investments. You will help us attract, retain and grow engineering talent. We need a leader who has experience building highly scalable and fault tolerant cloud native platforms. You will build teams of engineers who will help us build the CX Cloud Platform that will run our CX Cloud products. 

Primary Responsibilities include: 

  • Attract, retain and grow engineering talent for Customer Experience Engineering & Product Incubation (CXEPI) 

  • Support all aspects of hiring SaaS engineers that have AWS experience 

  • Build a culture that retains and grows our best engineers 

  • Form teams that build quality software, on time that meets customer’s expectations 

  • Drive quality best practices across all of your teams 

  • Create culture of accountability to estimate accurately and meet all commitments made with the business 

  • Form positive relationship with Product Management to accurately understand and execute against company priorities, strategy and vision 

  • Form positive relationships with peers in Engineer, Product Management, UX, Operations and Security 

  • Engage with engineering teams across the CX engineering organization to establish and live best practices in secure software development across our portfolio. 

  • Keep abreast of where the industry is going in terms of SaaS software best practices and drive these into your teams 

  • Engage with extended engineering teams across CX and Cisco Engineering organization to ideate and co-develop technology capabilities in support of the CX strategy. 

  • Collaborate with teams across Cisco sites in driving employee technical proficiencies and methodologies to be the best in the industry. 

  • Empower, cultivate and build deep technical leadership. 

Who you'll work with 

Residing in the CPXE organization, you will partner with teams within the CXPE organization to design, develop and deliver best in class SaaS solutions. You will work with peer teams in Product Management, Operations and UX Design to build the world’s best customer experience for our customers, partners and delivery engineers. Every day and every interaction will be unique, but you will likely engage with a diverse representation of engineers, product owners, product managers, business units, IT and CX leadership. 

Who you are 

Required Skills/Experience 

  • 7+ years engineering experience 

  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams 

  • 2+ years of experience building products in AWS 

  • Confirmed ability to hire engineers and grow a site 

  • Able to understand on the ground technical details and be able to succinctly explain the business impact of these to executives when required 

  • Experience providing updates into VP level 

  • Experience building platforms with zero down time upgrades to production 

  • Experience building horizontally scalable platforms with over 99.98% uptime
