We are looking for an engineering leader to help us operate the next generation of cloud-delivered security services, and deliver a stronger offering with outstanding customer experience. Our engineering team is composed of highly skilled individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced and technically challenging environment. Members are involved with all stages of the product development process from solving complex engineering problems to working directly with customers.  


Who You’ll Work With: 

We are building the future of APIs within Cisco. Our team is responsible for the development and operations of the API Platform used within our Secure Internet Gateway and Secure Access Service Edge products. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead this team of 8+ engineers as we develop new features to be used by thousands of customers every day.  You will also drive the API-First culture across the entire organization, as you partner with other teams to deliver on your vision for Cisco APIs.

What You’ll Do: 

  • You will lead SaaS engineering teams building and operating SaaS services in the cloud using AWS technologies 
  • You will be leading full stack engineers in a devops model that will develop and operate highly scalable and highly available cloud services 
  • You will collaborate with multiple engineering groups within Cisco to drive E2E solutions  
  • You will manage hiring and talent development to create a culture of execution excellence coupled with innovation.

You have:

  • experience building software and SaaS services in a devops model.  
  • experience in software engineering leadership roles, developing a team of SW developers building SaaS applications and services.  
  • You have the ability to go deep into technical architecture and design when needed to solve a complex problem.  
  • Experience with Cloud friendly technologies like Docker, GO Lang, Python, Terraform, and AWS technologies like EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda.   
  • You have a strong track record of managing SaaS projects and has delivered multiple cloud products in the past.  
  • Experience in building RESTful APIs. Knowledge about API design standards, patterns, and best-practices, especially Swagger and OpenAPI 3.0, REST, JSON, OAuth 
  • Knowledge on end-to-end architecture of API Developer Portal – Development, Integration with API Gateway and Security 
  • Experience in handling operations for a widely deployed SaaS service.  
  • Strong engineering delivery and execution track record using agile continuous deployment process   
  • Proven leadership skills in fostering engineering teams via coaching/mentoring, collaboration beyond boundaries, managing without authority and leading change.   
  • A mindset of continuous improvement.
