Employee and Executive Communications Manager at Cisco France

What You'll Do

You’ll build and lead an integrated internal communications program for the French employees and support the Cisco France Vice President with external communications. 

You will develop and deliver on coordinated communications campaigns, working in partnership with all communications functions and collaborators across the business, including the French executive team.

You will need to be a seasoned communications professional with 5 to 8 years of integrated communications with a solid background in internal communications.

The success of this role also requires the ability to set priorities to ensure the success of communications within the business as well as part of the EMEAR communications team. It requires the ability to focus on the areas where communications can have the biggest impact and demonstrate tangible results around influencing our audience’s perceptions, attitudes and behaviors. 

Role Requirements: 

  • Drives all aspects of executive and employee communications for Cisco France across internal and external audiences.
  • Positions the French General Manager externally with keynotes, interviews, blogs and on Social Media. 
  • Is considered a strategic partner and advisor to customers and key interfaces; will work directly with them to deliver content and programs to drive the French communications strategy and plan. 
  • Develops and owns the key French internal communication channels which support business requirements, whilst also using EMEAR and global channels. 
  • Creates original content whilst also adapting existing content for communications campaigns including messaging, narratives, presentations, blogs, bylined articles, multimedia content etc. 
  • Ability and proven track record of translating business goals into communication goals and of understanding audience perceptions. 
  • Think strategically and creatively around translating business priorities into stories and visual concepts that are relevant and engaging to a broad audience across various channels.
  • Work in true collaboration with individuals and teams to extract relevant information from multiple sources and blend into a range of communications. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; intuitive ability to read people, and influence where appropriate.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of poise, professionalism and take the initiative.
  • Is responsible for metrics, quality of communications outcomes, and delivery on time.

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
