Technical writers produce documentation and content experiences that help customers get the most out of our products. We work closely with other writers, product managers, engineers, and the User Experience team in an Agile development environment to produce interactive training, in-app assistance, help, guides, and videos for administrators, users, and developers.
We’re passionate about creating awesome docs of all sorts for our customers, from UI text to walkthroughs, from online help to help modules, from release notes to developer guides, and from videos to implementation guides.
We’re serious about the stuff a doc team should be serious about—like developing a smart content strategy and constantly looking for new and better ways to get our users the info they need when and where they need it.
Document each new CX Cloud release, maintain, and improve our current product documentation.
Convert Scrum team work into customer release notes using agile methodologies.
Create and update web content using HTML5 and CSS3.
Work with designers and developers to ensure new UI wording meets CX Cloud standards.
Support other parts of the organization as they develop and deliver content for customers, partners, and employees.
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field like engineering or science, or in language or technical communication
3+ years of experience in technical writing for software development or web application development
Superior English skills with extensive knowledge of the rules of composition and English grammar, as well as experience using and applying style rules to written content
Understanding of help authoring tools, content management systems, publishing tools and associated technologies and standards, for example, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate, Author-It, DITA XML, Markdown, AEM/WEM, GitHub, HTML, CSS, etc.
Familiarity with CCX core tools, Style Guide, and in-app user assistance.
Knowledge of agile software development so you can work closely with software developers to improve in-app user assistance content and technology
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables over tight timelines.
