As a critical individual contributor position in the EMEA Distribution Planning Team, you'll be responsible for providing account leadership to enable distribution bookings revenue, crafting inventory strategy, optimizing cost to serve and providing differentiated partner and customer experience. The Distribution Planning Manager is accountable for driving collaborative planning processes to deliver distribution bookings, revenue attainment, customer experience, market share, financials (including cost to serve), and other fulfillment supply chain business outcomes by handling these major elements:

  • Plan and achieve distributor bookings and revenue goals
  • Optimal Inventory sizing and execution based on forecasts, service level targets and POS
  • Ensure product availability and differentiated service level performance; to distributors and from distributors to their resellers and customers
  • Optimize cost to serve and drive cost reduction initiatives
  • Sense future business needs
  • Increase promotions effectivity
  • Operations product lifecycle

You will do this through driving the end-to-end process between Distribution and Cisco's Supply Chain from customer sell-thru forecasting to distribution sell-in requirements and inventory management to manufacturing order management. Accelerate distribution planning and demand sensing from the process and data analytics perspective to facilitate portfolio alignment/demand shaping, new stock rotation and pricing policies.

You will work with Cisco’s largest and most strategic customers in capturing their long-horizon forecast, technology transition roadmap, and deployment plans by building positive relationships with the Customer’s Supply Chain, Procurement and Engineering teams as well as with cross-functional teams within Cisco.

Who You Are

You are a self-driven, curious person with a passion for data analysis and who also love interacting with people inside and outside Cisco. In this role you will find a great combination of data mining and strategic relationship management that will allow you to translate customer information into Product Planning Forecast information that will be leveraged by demand planning team for unit level forecasting.

You are highly effective at leading conversations that influence and drive optimized decisions with multiple executive stakeholders. Confident in presenting own position despite resistance or challenging reactions from others.

You are able to handle problems or conflicts with others openly and directly. Committed and willing to take risks, make decisions, and escalate when needed to achieve desired business outcomes.

You will help our Global Planning organization to achieve World Class Forecast Accuracy and you will be using tools like Tableau, Business Objects, Salesforce.com, MBR, CENTRO and many others.

Our Minimum Qualifications for This Role

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or related area
  • MS/MBA strongly preferred
  • Typically requires 6+ years working experience in a combination of business planning, sales and operations (business operations) planning, and operations management / customer facing roles
  • Deeply experienced in Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR), end-to-end supply chain planning processes, inventory management, product life-cycle management, sourcing, supply chain financials, and/or supply chain modeling.
  • Requires a track record of responsibility for managing multiple programs and/or medium to large functional teams"
