CISCO'S SECURITY BUSINESS CURRENTLY AT 2 BILLION USD REVENUE ANNUALLY FROM ITS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES IS GROWING AT FAST PACE. SECURITY BUSINESS GROUP (SBG) OF CISCO SYSTEMS (INDIA) IS LOOKING TO HIRE ENGINEERS MANAGER FOR THE SECURITY SERVICES PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT TEAM.

What you'll do

  • LEAD A HIGH PERFORMING ENGINEERING TEAM THAT DEVELOP NEW PLATFORMS AND PLATFORM CAPABILITIES FOR NEXT GENERATION SECURITY PLATFORMS FOR CISCO, A MARKET LEADER IN SECURITY PRODUCTS AND TECHNOLOGIES.
  • WORK WITH A TEAM OF MOTIVATED A-PLAYERS TO ENGAGE WITH CUSTOMERS AND BUILD CREATIVE SOLUTIONS
  • WORK WITH DEVELOPERS AND PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TEAMS AT DIFFERENT STAGES SUCH AS PRODUCT STARTING FROM IDEA CONCEPTUALIZATION TILL DELIVERING IT TO CUSTOMER
  • DRIVE/COLLABORATE WITH OTHER TECHNICAL LEADERS/SOFTWARE ENGINEERS AND PRINCIPLE ENGINEERS ON SYSTEM/FUNCTIONAL DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE, DEVELOP HIGH QUALITY SOFTWARE INDEPENDENTLY IN AN AGILE ENVIRONMENT
  • MENTOR INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTORS TO HELP THEM PEAK AT SHOWCASING THEIR POTENTIAL.
  • WORK CLOSELY WITH A MULTI-FUNCTIONAL TEAM TO DESIGN NEW FEATURES. MANAGE TALENT AND BUILD A STRONG TEAM WITH COLLABORATION SKILLS.
  • DRIVE AGILITY IN EXECUTION, CREATE A STRONG TEAM CULTURE OF RESPONSIVENESS BY LEADING BY EXAMPLE.

Who you are

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • BSEE/MSEE/CS WITH 12-16+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT POSITION.
  • POSSESS INHERENT PASSION FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
  • 4+ EXPERIENCE WITH PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
  • HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND SELF-STARTER AND HAVE AN ABILITY TO INSPIRE AND DRIVE TEAMS WITH SELF-STARTING ABILITIES.
  • ENCOURAGING LEADERSHIP SKILLS, FOCUS ON GROOMING TALENT AND ENCOURAGING RECIPROCAL ENVIRONMENT.
  • CAN LEAD IN AMBIGUITY AND CAN WITH LESS INFORMATION AND HELP DEFINE THE ROADMAP AND DIRECTIONS TO THE PRODUCT.
  • STRONG NETWORKING AND PROTOCOL KNOWLEDGE
  • DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF LINUX AND NETWORK RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
