As a critical individual contributor position in the APJC& EMEAR Distribution Planning Team, you will be responsible for providing analytics driven leadership to rationalize, simplify/optimize and automate existing capabilities along with creating new to help deliver on the Worldwide level forecasting and operating plan goals for WW distribution planning and sales planning. The key responsibilities are:
Develop a long-range forecast (52 weeks) for distribution end-customer demand (DSV/Legacy POS) and Standard customer demand at all levels of product and location hierarchies (WW, Regional, Business Unit, BU/Product Family, PF/Product ID, PID etc.) using analytics (AI/ML), macro-economic variables to name a few. Collaborate and align with the demand planning team and central forecasting team on the forecast.
Develop predictive data analytics leveraging market demand insights, customer segmentation, pricing and sales motion. Incorporate the insights into WW Cisco level forecasting for distribution concentrated products and customer concentrated products.
Develop Point of Sale (POS/DSV) baseline forecast by PID (26 weeks) for the co-planning distributors using advanced analytics to share with the distribution co-planners on a monthly/quarterly basis. Build and drive an exception management system to highlight PID/distributor exceptions based on POS/DSV accuracy.
Build and automate mathematical models to forecast inventory pipeline/net-spread changes driven by changes in the LT and distribution ordering pattern (SS increase/decrease) at the region, PID, PF/BU and BSE/BE (Business Sub Entity/Business Entity) levels.
Optimize the distribution bottoms-up forecasting methodology to help co-planners with creating robust forecasts for the demand planning interlock for the distribution concentrated BU’s: Develop bottoms up algorithm/process that is anchored on the Kinaxis weekly book recommendations for the co-planning distributors.
Drive and operationalize process improvements by working closely with distribution solutions and Kinaxis IT teams.
Accelerate distribution planning and demand sensing from the process and data analytics perspective to facilitate portfolio alignment/demand shaping, new stock rotation and pricing policies.
You will be instrumental in developing and optimizing tools and processes for the distribution co-planners to help them enable distribution revenue, optimal inventory levels and cost to serve, resulting in differentiated partner and customer experience. This role requires a strong penchant for analytics, creatively thinking, calculated risk taking, and challenging the status-quo to drive continuous improvement. The only constant in this role is change (continuous improvement).

This role requires significant collaboration with the distribution co-planners, central revenue/forecasting teams and many multi-functional stakeholders within Operations, Finance and Sales.
Who You Are
5+ years’ experience in advanced supply chain, financial and statistical analysis skills to equip distribution planning with new capabilities to better assess, frame, and drive data-driven decisions. Skilled at recognizing underlying themes, directions and patterns and use this insight to drive predict and prescriptive analytics for the distribution team for optimal business outcomes. Bachelors in STEM field (Masters Preferred +3 years of related experience).
Solid understanding of advanced forecasting and statistical algorithms and application of AI/ML techniques for forecasting and inventory optimization. A strong analytical attitude and approach that convert data into business insights, and insights into well informed decisions.
Ability to use self-service tools like Tableau, Business Objects (FinBI, SCSU) to create customized views and reports for the distribution teams to share predictive/prescriptive analytics.
Highly effective at leading conversations that influence and drive optimized decisions with all stakeholders. Confident in communicating own position despite resistance or unfavorable reactions from others. Committed and willing to take risks, make decisions, and raise when needed to achieve desired business outcomes.
Advantageous with experience in Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR), end-to-end supply chain planning processes, inventory management, product life-cycle management, sourcing, supply chain financials, and supply chain modelling.
Knowledgeable of Cisco’s customers, markets, products, business directions, and macro business environment. Able to align internal processes with corporate objectives. Effective in representing that understanding in compelling ways to others.
Skilled at translating business and process improvement strategies into operational objectives and plans for the distribution group.
A self-starter and thrive in an environment with an agenda for change, growth, innovation, and forward-thinking behavior. Can demonstrate the ability to operate continually at an ""up-tempo"" pace in a dynamic, fast-moving culture.
