What You'll Do:

The Global Tax & Customs (GTC) organization seeks a Country of Origin (COO) and Special Sales and Trade Programs (SSTP) expert responsible to make sure Cisco’s Global COO and SSTP Policies and established procedures by assessing impacts, proactively spotting gaps, driving resolution and decision making, and facilitating effective cross-functional communication across GTC and theaters.
You will become a member of a team of professionals who own the review of the COO of Cisco's existing and new product and services offerings as well as new business models.
• Represent GTC and advise on the Country of Origin, Federal Sales, Special Sales Trade Programs aspects of internal trade projects with key cross-functional and global virtual teams including Supply Chain Operations, Government Affairs, and global government procurement Sales teams.

• Support Regional Customs teams in their Country-of-Origin defense activities with local Customs authorities at both the transactional and regulatory level.

• Support opportunities to enable and sustain Cisco business in Special Sales Trade Programs, including Trade Agreements Act (TAA), Buy America (BA), Foreign Military Financing (FMF).

• Act as custodian of the CORD/Country of Origin determination rules-based engine, including identification and implementation of potential tool improvements.

• Participate in end-to-end on-site audits of Cisco’s manufacturing partners to review processes and ensure compliance with Cisco’s requirements and adherence to special sales trade programs.

• Monitor global regulatory changes affecting special sales and trade programs; assess, communicate and implement changes to keep Cisco compliant.

Who You'll Work With:

The Country of Origin / Special Sales Trade team is a highly skilled and diverse group of individuals that are motivated to keep Cisco compliant in relation to Global regulations. As a cohesive unit, we are flexible and willing to help each other out as needed. We work with multiple business partners within Cisco, including but not limited to supply chain operations, global tax and customs members outside the US, and other business units responsible for shipping goods globally. Working in the Country of Origin / Special Sales Trade team will bring a level of exposure outside of a typical customs job and build your business and regulatory acumen.

Who You Are:

You are a highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. You are an excellent collaborator, skilled in building deep and broad relationships between GTC and our partners and have experience in customs regulations and compliance.


• 5 years minimum of Customs compliance experience

• TAA, USMCA, Special Sales Trade experience preferred

• Ability to research customs regulations

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills

• Prior consulting experience highly desired

• Project management experience highly desired
