What You'll Do

You will be part of Cisco's Global Public Sector team and will be handling Cisco’s existing public sector contracts, developing and driving the procurement contract and bring together strategy for Cisco Australia’s Public Sector business. Responsibilities will include contracts process management and customer engagement.

You will help identify and win significant opportunities across national, regional, education, and healthcare. Build a pipeline of opportunities and contracts, coordinate with Sales Management to find opportunity priorities. Use your contract expertise to mitigate contractual risks, set the winning strategy, build a plan to implement and coordinate the execution of that strategy. Deliver results that position Cisco technically, contractually, and profitably for the duration of the contract while supporting the customer's mission.

Continually optimize your approach, learning and building your relationships, contract expertise, and processes to improve Cisco's chances of winning the next opportunity. Drive and build outcome-based selling motion for the field, with strong cross-organization collaboration.

Who you'll work with

In this role, you will closely align with the Cisco Australia Public Sector Account Teams, including the account managers, regional managers, and operations directors, collaboration with the system engineering team. While working with these accounts and system engineering teams, you will concurrently work with our Channel Organization as you collaborate with our integrator and reseller partners. In the course, you will likely also work with counterparts in Legal, Finance, Services, Cisco Capital, Marketing, and other Cisco groups.

Who you are

Government Acquisitions & Contracting Processes: Knowledge of Government IT Contract Market, experience with Government IT solution selling, particularly around networking, cloud and/or subscription models. Deep understanding of the Government buying process and cycle, including budgetary aspects, regulatory impacts, and contractual landscape.

You have experience with the Australia acquisition regulations, solicitation processes, whole-of-government frameworks, different procurement methods, competition rules, protests, small business requirements, etc. and their impact on the development of winning strategies.

Clear understanding of high-level business balances between the longer-term goals and the nearer term strategies.

Building and strengthening relationships: Collaborating with internal teammates, Government customers and our partner companies to position Cisco and an ability to coordinate the right Cisco story with the right decision makers at the right times.

Consultative Support: You excel when taking the lead on an opportunity pursuit effort and advising a diverse team of contributors; Account & Sales Leadership teams toward the next win, ability to communicate, demonstrate, and provide convincing relevance for Cisco solutions.

You can handle tight deadlines, love to hunt and win!

BS/BA or equivalent. MBA or legal degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in Government IT procurement, driving execution plans, extensive understanding of BD/Capture process.

Willingness and ability to travel 20-25%.
