Your Impact

The Content Creator will work closely with the leader of Cisco's GPRS Organization to craft compelling, high-quality communications, presentations, and interview materials. This role requires a deep understanding of Cisco’s partner ecosystem, partner sales, got to market motions, strategic initiatives, and messaging priorities. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller, strategic thinker, and expert in creating content that resonates with internal teams, partners, and external audiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Executive Communication

  • Collaborate directly with the leader of GPRS to develop executive-level speeches, decks, blog posts, and other written communications.
  • Translate complex GPRS strategies, partner programs, and market trends into clear, concise, and impactful messaging.
  • Develop talking points, briefing notes, and Q&A documents for interviews, keynotes, and panel discussions.

Content Creation

  • Design visually engaging and data-driven presentations that align with Cisco’s brand guidelines and effectively communicate strategic priorities to partners and stakeholders.
  • Create slide decks, infographics, and visual elements that simplify and highlight key messages for both internal and external audiences.
  • Support storytelling through multimedia assets, ensuring all content aligns with the leader’s vision and Cisco's overarching goals.

Partner-Focused Messaging

  • Craft tailored messaging to communicate the value of Cisco’s partner programs, initiatives, and innovations to partners.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the leader’s communications align with Cisco’s overall GPRS marketing and partner enablement strategies.

Interview and Event Preparation

  • Prepare interview scripts, briefing materials, and media kits for public appearances, ensuring the leader is well-prepared for various audiences.
  • Develop custom content for partner events, industry conferences, internal all-hands meetings, and customer-facing engagements.

Brand Voice and Messaging

  • Act as a steward of Cisco’s brand voice, ensuring all content reflects the company’s tone, values, and messaging priorities.
  • Maintain consistency across all communications while tailoring messages to diverse audiences (e.g., partners, internal teams, media).

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with marketing, PR, design, and channel teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with Cisco’s global strategy.
  • Act as a liaison between the GPRS leader and other teams to ensure timely delivery of content and materials.

Metrics and Improvement

  • Track the performance of content (e.g., presentation feedback, audience engagement) and use data insights to refine messaging and delivery.
  • Continuously seek feedback from stakeholders to improve content effectiveness.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in content creation, executive communications, or marketing, preferably in technology, channel or B2B space.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, content creation platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Proficient in Cisco’s channel priorities,  partner ecosystem, and market trends, and translate them into content that supports the leader's objectives.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft executive-level communications, speeches, and presentations.
  • Expertise in simplifying technical and strategic content into clear and actionable messaging.
  • Advanced proficiency in creating polished, visually appealing presentations using tools such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote.
  • Strong design sense and ability to visualize data and key takeaways for maximum impact.
  • Demonstrated experience in aligning content with broader organizational strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for creating infographics, video scripts, or other digital assets.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and digital platforms for amplifying content.
  • Deep understanding of Cisco’s channel business model, partner programs, and the technology ecosystem.
  • Awareness of industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
