Main responsibilities:

o    Taking the lead role in working/planning with clients, Account Teams, and Cisco resources to develop strategies and engage in the upgrade and policy management of network infrastructure. You will be responsible for the successful outcome of technical parts of Compliance and Remediation (C&R) projects.

o    Having ability to present/articulate to customers and partners the value of Advanced Services and CMCS

o    Building and maintaining consultative / partner relationship with clients

o    Performing problem analysis and acting as a technical specialist for the C&R part of the project

o    Participating and sharing in the development and improvement of service offerings and delivery collateral.

o    Training and mentoring other engineers

 

o    Following and supporting company policies, processes, and utilizing relevant tools, to effectively execute the role and support C&R’s strategic priorities and goals.

MANDATORY TECHNOLOGIES

  • Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA, Cisco NG IPS, Identity Services Engine, content security, Cisco AMP, Stealthwatch.

Main Experience Required

  • 8 to 10 years of related experience in IT industry.
  • 6 years of experience in Security technologies.

Technology

  • Deep technical expertise in Security technology domain with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas - Firewall, IPS/IDS, Admission Control, Content Security, SIEM, SOC, encryption, VPN etc. The candidate needs to be very good in at least 1 of the areas. If he/she has expertise in more than 1 area, is a plus.
  • Proven experience in implementing Security solutions across Enterprise and Service provider environments
  • Experience in preparing, planning, and designing, implementing, and optimizing Security solutions and a broader understanding of Cyber Security industry trends.
  • Fluency in a wide range of Security protocols including TCP/IP, encryption protocols, application layer protocols, network & link layer protocols, device & network management protocols.
  • Fluency in operational disciplines (systems management, systems monitoring, change management).
  • Experience in developing end-to-end solutions with both Cisco and selective third party components. Given a set of business requirements, can provide a complete technical solution for medium to large enterprise of moderate complexity.
  • Ability to grasp complex design concepts quickly and be able to provide the right solutions to the clients.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, own and resolve implementation problems

Delivery Experience

  • Has clarity on Project Lifecycle Management and strong Process Orientation leading to quality and customer satisfaction outcomes.
  • Is equipped to manage stakeholders and customers in a complex and high-touch delivery environment. Has competence in managing customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Has led projects effectively, involving diverse matrixed teams, SMEs, and supporting function leads.
  • Has a track record of Trusted Advisor roles in medium to large accounts.

Ownership of business outcomes reflected in quality, timeliness and reliability of delivery.

 Nice to Have

- Scripting/Automation (Python is a must, Perl, Bash, Shell, RegEx are a plus)

- CCIE RS or equivalent knowledge

- 3rd party knowledge (Fortinet, Juniper, F5, etc.)

- Change Management and execution experience

 

- Experience with Cisco platform upgrades and troubleshooting
