Who will you work with

CX - Migration Services Team

Migration team in the CX Centers focusing on all SP and Enterprise technologies as a Network Consulting Engineer. We need a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad and deep networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Leadership skills, you're well positioned to become a trusted advisor capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers. Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering Cisco Advanced Services in the area of Routing & switching, which includes Advisory, Implementation and Migration services, within large Enterprise or Service Provider environments.
  • Provides guidance and oversight to team members giving technical support for customers during software and hardware upgrades.
  • Delivers migration plans, with a thorough understanding on networked applications and related dependencies
  • Leverages consultative approaches in building relationships with SMEs, both internal & external, to develop solutions.
  • Interacts with Cisco's customers working within an extended cross-functional team including project manager and account team members (Products and Services Sales; Systems and Consulting Systems Engineers).
  • Creates customer deliverable documentation including Design documents, Migration Plan and Test Plans for the campus networks.
  • Participates and facilitates design workshops and delivers consultancy services to customer.
  • Works to understand the changing business needs and help aligning team goals to provide relevant solutions for our customers.
  • Works, with both internal and external teams, to come up with ways to optimize processes, and to improve efficiency using automation wherever possible
  • Demonstrates thought leadership in solving customer’s technology challenges and helps achieve their business outcomes.
  • Acts as the technical Lead for most complex deployments and as a technical team leader in key engagements.
  • Builds positive relationships with customers & collaborators
  • Collaborates in the process of capturing, developing, sharing, and effectively using organizational knowledge and lead knowledge management in the area of Collaboration Services.
  • Drive technology design, implementation, execution and/or optimization for projects/accounts to accelerate customer outcomes
  • Assist customers with integration and implementation of tools, systems and service assurance for Cisco technologies
  • Support presale activities and translate business requirements into solution design
  • Drive customer technology transitions, influencing solution architectures and services

Desired Skills

  • Experience on Enterprise product lines like 2900, Cat 3600, 3800, 4500, 6500ASR1K, 7200, ISR 4400.
  • Cat9k, SD-WAN product lines knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Essential Skills on Enterprise Brach/Campus Design/Integration/Implementation with hands-on experience on Cisco Cat switch series along with ISR WAN series will be required.
  • Experience Implementing /Supporting Layer 2 & Layer 3 (VXLAN) implementation of campus network comprising of Cisco Cat 9k, ISR4k, Cat4500 and will be key.
  • Experience with designing L2 and L3 vlan’s along with network segmentation on above Cisco platforms will be plus
  • Working knowledge and experience VLANs, VXLANs, WAN, OSPF, ISIS, QoS, IPv6, Multicast.
  • Prior Experience with SDA, DNAC and SD-WAN Viptela will be preferred.
  • Deep Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of Cisco Routers and switches. Typical Deliverables includes but not limited to- customer audits, config translations & features; Automated/Scripted discovery audit & data validation of connected/end devices; Optional Lab testing / validation services for service/feature interop.
  • Engineer must have experience of least 2000+ hours of migration windows and migration projects involving campus network. On-site or Remote migration support; High-level methodologies, MOP generation & As-Built documentation; Phased approach starting with 8-10 chassis – controlled, validated & careful migration is critical; Fully audit & own configuration translations services & ensure service readiness for migrations.
  • Must have hands-on experience of 5-7 yrs on Cisco(CSCO). Alcatel Lucent (ALU) or Juniper ( JNPR) platforms, Ericsson, Extreme or any competitor knowledge will be a definite plus.
  • A good communications skill is a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate to customer representatives at various levels.
  • Must have good technical writing skills in Microsoft Word & Excel and have experience in writing high test and implementation / Migration plans.
  • Coding or Scripting skills would be an added advantage
  • Skills and experience in working independently, determining methods and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires BS/BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of related experience in IT industry.
  • 5 to 6 years of experience in Cisco R&S technologies.
  • Certified Expertise in Routing and Switching (CCNP or equivalent, CCIE desired).
  • Certified in Process Areas (ITIL/ TOGAF/ ISO) Working Knowledge in Quality Systems and Industry Standards.
  • Working exposure in at least two Industry Verticals/Domains. Experience in Banking sector will be preferred.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
