What You'll Do
Cisco IT is looking for a dynamic leader to lead Commerce Engineering team responsible for $50B of Cisco’s business. The leader will be responsible for the following:
SaaS Transformation: Introduce key features at a rapid pace on eCommerce platform to support recurring revenue offers in addition to traditional hardware offers to accelerate Cisco’s transition to software revenue. Reduce time to create new offers and integrate acquisitions.
Analytics & AI/ML: Introduce Chatbots, Machine Learning, Deep Learning & Natural Language processing capabilities to improve user productivity, reduce support cases and drive revenue growth.
Cloud Native Transition: Lead migration from traditional to fault tolerant technologies for Cisco’s eCommerce platform to achieve 99.95+% availability. Ability to deploy in public clouds. Transition to stateless apps and microservices to enable deployment of new software features without a downtime.
Operational Excellence: Transition to no-ops model by introducing chatbots and reducing support cases by 75% over next 1-2 years. Introduce monitoring dashboards to provide realtime visibility into health of platforms. Drive SRE practice to drive deployment and test automation and software upgrades.
Talent Management: Hire & retain top tier of software engineers, data scientists and SREs across San Jose, North Carolina, Krakow & Bangalore.
Who You’ll Work With
You will collaborate with the Senior Director of Commerce Engineering and work closely with Commerce product management team and IT leaders to define the architecture and roadmap for Commerce platform.
Who You Are
Seasoned engineering leader with deep experience in building and delivering software products, especially SaaS
Good understanding of quote to cash processes and technology platforms for SaaS businesses.
Expertise in building large scale systems using fault tolerant technologies such as Elastic Search, MongoDB, Cassandra & Kafka
Expertise in Java, Angular JS, NodeJS, SQL
Expertise in Analytics, AI/ML technologies
Sustained, successful trajectory (at least 15 years) in software development & in leading or supporting the execution of software-focused transformational initiatives in large organizations
Educational background in technology/engineering related field required, plus a graduate degree in engineering or MBA a plus
Strong experience in partnering with product management teams to ship products that create customer value
Have excellent communication skills, and the ability to confidently share vision & roadmap to internal/external audiences
