The Cisco Collaboration Technical Marketing team is looking for a hard-working Technical Marketing Engineer to join our team and support our Collaboration products and solutions. We are a geographically dispersed team with individual groups focusing on specific product areas within our Collaboration portfolio.

CTG Technical Marketing Engineering is looking for a candidate that is highly motivated, agile and wants to join an experienced team that innovates, evangelizes, and delivers technical excellence in bringing to market all aspects of Cisco’s product portfolio. You will join a Technical Marketing team that works with marketing, engineering, and customers.



You will understand and evangelize CTG’s core Calling, Meeting and Device strategy focusing on simplicity and ease of use, industry trends in “workspace transformation” and movement of on prem workloads to Cloud and SaaS. You will become the technical solution representative and subject matter expert for utilizing products from the Collaboration Portfolio in custom integrations and large-scale events. This will involve using our devices, meetings, messaging, and calling products in ways they may not have been designed for. Custom integrations will involve programming, debugging, and testing.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • You will work in addressing product issues as they arise and developing the required collateral and training to fully enable the field sales organization.
  • You will define and create business relevant customer demonstrations through the use of our solutions and open product and platform API’s and adjacent software integrations where applicable.
  • You will participate in and support trade shows, corporate events and support key demonstrations for CTG executives. Responsibilities include planning demo flows and implementing all technical aspects of demonstrations where required.
  • You will support our sales teams by monitoring and answering questions in relevant support forums (Webex spaces, email mailers, etc)
  • You will work closely with Product Marketing and Product Management to help define Go To Market strategies and technical positioning for new products, releases and solutions
  • You will work with Product Management and Engineering to understand and deliver product roadmaps and direction. Provide feedback on product from the field and from testing/ demonstrating the product.
  • You will program manage TME special projects and establish timelines, deliverables, and organize necessary meetings to accomplish determined milestones.
  • You will architect, test, and document guidelines and best practices for using our Webex Suite to support large-scale events and specific use cases outside the normal customer requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Software Engineering/Computer Science/ Degree or equivalent plus any experience related with any of the following areas: IP telephony, Webex Meetings, Unified Communications, Expressway-C/E, CMS, videoconferencing, web conferencing, API integration.
  • An understanding and hands-on technical experience with certain elements of the Cisco collaboration portfolio including Unified CM, Expressway, CMS, IP Phones and Video Endpoints.
  • A foundational understanding and hands-on technical experience with IP Communications signaling and media protocols, including Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), H.323, XML, HTTP, RESTful APIs and Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)
  • Strong organizational skills.


  •  A foundational understanding and hands-on technical experience with IP Communications network design, TCP/IP, and Quality of Service (QoS)
  • The position is global in nature and will require travel. The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent active listening skills. They must enjoy working as part of a highly skilled team, interacting with people and have experience in interfacing with senior managerial and executive level personnel both internal and within partners or customers.

Highly Desirable:                                                               

  • An understanding and hands-on technical experience with additional elements of the Cisco collaboration portfolio including Meraki and security products would be desirable   
  • Previous experience with Audio/Video equipment including: broadcast quality streaming and recording, video standards, video mixers/adapters.
  • Experience with 3rd party video editing software for post-production work.
  • A working knowledge of competitive products and services and of emerging technology trends affecting the collaboration industry as a whole
