What You’ll Do
- Work with experienced cross-functional engineers to understand the requirements and design and build cloud infrastructure with scalability in mind, ensuring it can easily accommodate the growth and evolving needs of our product engineering teams.
- Own the Infrastructure code throughout the different environments supported (dev, stage, prod).
- Find opportunities for automation, partner with the engineering and security team on implementing automation.
- Improve the performance and security of a variety of systems alongside your team members.
- Drive the high-level architectural discussions regarding the work that the team has been doing.
- Develop solutions for networking and orchestration problems with availability, scale and latency in mind
- Contribute to a no-blame culture that values learning, transparency, accountability, trust, kindness, and mutual respect.
- Collaborate with peer groups within the larger security team on Trust & Compliance, Security Operations, Risk Management, Security Engineering, and Education activities.
- Mentor engineering teams and help them to adopt the custom-built cloud infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 7 years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3 years in computer science, information technology or other related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the design, build and manage cloud infrastructure with a range of AWS services.
- Experience of at least 1 year with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation and CI/CD tools to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure.
- Experience of at least 2 years with Cryptographic process such as certificate management and public Key infrastructure (PKI).
- Proficient in scripting and programming languages, preferably bash and python or Golang.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with designing, building, and maintaining infrastructures that meet exacting compliance requirements such as SoC2.
- Hands-on experience on building multi-account landingzone on AWS IAM Identity Center and AWS Control Tower.
- Has a multi-Cloud Infrastructure Engineering background (AWS, Azure), where you have been building cloud native solutions ?
- Experience in working with Unix/Linux systems.
- Experience[M(1] in configuring SAML and SCIM with identity and access management platforms like Okta.
- Experience enabling high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring & alerts, testing methodologies and automation.
- Experience with applications that span multiple datacenters and/or cloud controllers.
- You stay on top of industry standard processes, and you’ve established relationships with engineering teams based on collaboration, empathy, and the pursuit of excellence.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
