The Cloud + AI Infrastructure team delivers one scalable strategy with local execution for data center customer transformation and growth. We are the worldwide go-to-market Compute and Data Center Networking engine assembling market transitions and engaging with sellers to fuel growth for customers and Cisco. Alongside our colleagues, the Cloud & AI Infrastructure Data Center Networking team builds the sales strategy, activates sellers and technical communities, and accelerates selling every single dayA successful Cisco Cloud + AI Account Executive will work with Cisco Account Managers, Systems Engineers, Technical Leaders, Sales Managers, Partners, and Ecosystem Partners to develop strategies, provide enablement, build programs & promotions, align marketing activities, deliver customer presentations/demos, and close the business. 

Your Impact

As a Cisco Global Data Center Networking Software Account Executive with a focus on Nexus Dashboard, you serve as a strategic advisor and sales leader for Cisco’s advanced data center networking software solutions worldwide. Leveraging deep expertise in Nexus Dashboard and comprehensive knowledge of the entire Cisco Data Center Networking portfolio-including switching, automation, management, security, and hybrid/multicloud solutions-you drive customer success and business growth across global markets. Your role enables organizations around the world to modernize, simplify, and secure their data center environments, achieving operational excellence through unified automation, analytics, and management. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Act as a global facilitator on Cisco Nexus Dashboard delivering consultative support and technical guidance to account teams, customers and partners across regions. 
  • Leverage broad knowledge of Cisco’s full data center networking portfolio-including Nexus and MDS switches, ACI, NXOS, and cloud-managed solutions-to provide holistic, globally relevant guidance. 
  • Lead virtual and in-person consultative sessions, technical workshops, and strategic discussions with customers and partners worldwide to showcase the benefits and differentiators of Nexus Dashboard in modern data center environments. 
  • Deliver competitive analysis and positioning, clearly articulating Nexus Dashboard’s unified operations, automation, and analytics advantages against alternative data center management platforms in various international markets. 
  • Support the full lifecycle of data center network operations-including provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and policy management-ensuring consistent global standards and best practices. 
  • Collaborate with global account teams, customer success, and channel partners to accelerate adoption, resolve technical challenges, and drive business outcomes across multiple geographies. 
  • Design, launch, and manage global programs and campaigns to promote Nexus Dashboard adoption, educate stakeholders, and generate pipeline opportunities in all major regions. 
  • Work closely with global marketing and enablement teams to develop compelling content, webinars, and events that highlight Nexus Dashboard’s capabilities and competitive differentiation for international audiences. 
  • Track program and campaign performance globally, analyze results, and optimize strategies to maximize customer engagement and business impact across diverse markets. 
  • Gather and relay field feedback from global customers and partners to Cisco product management, advocating for features that strengthen Cisco’s competitive position worldwide. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the global data center networking software landscape, including competitor platforms and emerging trends in all major markets. 
  • Develop and deliver messaging that highlights Nexus Dashboard’s unique strengths-unified management, automation, real-time analytics, seamless integration, and flexible deployment options (physical, virtual, or cloud)-to global audiences. 
  • Support the global sales process with competitive insights, objection handling, and positioning Nexus Dashboard as the preferred platform for modern data center network operations worldwide. 
  • Contribute to global go-to-market strategies and business planning for Cisco’s data center networking software portfolio 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience and 3+ years in business development 
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and executive audiences in multiple languages and cultures. 
  • Broad understanding of data center networking, automation, and operations, with a focus on Cisco Nexus Dashboard, ACI, and NX-OS environments. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Cisco Data Center Networking portfolio 
  • Proven ability to design and execute global technical programs and marketing campaigns that drive product adoption. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and collaborate across cross-functional, multicultural teams. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications: NVIDIA, CCNA, CCNP, or CCDP
  • Broad understanding of network automation, programmability (APIs, Python, Ansible), and integration with third-party ITSM and analytics tools for global enterprise environments

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
