Meet the Team

Our mission is to empower Cisco Go-to-Market team with seamless video offerings and capabilities. This role will lead a team of talented production professionals including producers, directors, virtual event managers, freelance crews, and Bay Area vendors to support and execute more than 800 remote and in-person productions a year. You will be key in driving production design and development across Cisco TV regions globally while partnering cross-functionally with various Cisco groups like IT, Workplace Resources, and more.


Your Impact

As a Lead Production Engineer, you will play a critical role in Cisco TV’s global operations. Cisco TV is the backbone of communication to our internal workforce ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with company goals, leading to increased productivity, improved decision-making, and a more cohesive workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leadership Excellence: Direct a global team of production engineering staff, ensuring effective communication and precise guidance to optimize operations and workstreams.
  • Technical Supervision: Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of video/audio systems worldwide, enhancing production value.
  • System Optimization: Develop and refine systems and workflows to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Strategic Communication: Convey complex concepts and provide alternative solutions to drive ROI.
  • Collaborative Planning: Organize and coordinate work schedules with team members to maximize productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise teams and production crews to ensure optimal technical quality.
  • Consultative Expertise: Offer expert consultation to producers regarding equipment requirements, facility integration, and post-production design integration, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Budgetary Management: Provide substantive budgetary input for each event production to ensure cost-effective operations and ROI.
  • Project Management: Manage engineering projects, including coordinating and supervising external vendors, pre-show planning, testing, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Travel Requirements: Engage in periodic travel on a project-by-project basis to oversee global operations, expanding reach and impact.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of working in a live production environment
  • At least 2 years leading a high performing team
  • AutoCAD skills desirable
  • Experience in a global role is ideal 
  • Competency in IT, including Windows and Mac environments, is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on knowledge of broadcast video production equipment, broadcast and production practices, techniques and terminology
  • Excellent ability to articulate solutions and strategies to clients and team members
  • Ability to receive inputs from customers, producers and directors to render creative solutions for all aspects of technical delivery during a live show or taped event
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of live broadcast workflows
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and support video engineering crews as well as external vendors
  • Demonstrated project management and interpersonal skills that drive team performance and excellent client engagement
  • Must possess excellent communication, presentation, organizational and time-management skills
  • Technologically adept, supporting innovative solutions

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
