What You'll Do:
The Solutions Engineer (SE) Leader for the EMEA NORTH, UKI and MEA Service Provider & Partner Sales team will lead a team of strong Cisco Networking Solution Engineers. Be accountable for completing regional channel sales goals by driving pre-sales engineering programs, creating new managed service offerings, and building executive relationships with Reseller and Managed Service Provider partners across the region.
Teaming with the EMEA Service Provider & Channel leaders, this is an outstanding opportunity to define and implement the channel sales vision for the region. Own key relationships with partner technical leaders, collaborate closely with the Global and EMEA Service Provider & Channel sales, Direct Sales and Systems Engineering teams to implement initiatives that you design to accelerate the adoption of Cisco Networking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor and develop a team of Solution Engineers to deliver against Service Provider & Channel Partner sales goals and keep our SE culture alive. Provide performance management, developmental planning, salary planning and technical training.
- Drive revenue growth for our most strategic Service Providers & Partners through technical sales engagements, creating managed service offerings, and technical training programs. Activities include Customer Events, Marketing campaigns, Demand-gen activities, Account collaboration, Partner/Cisco engagements and Partner-led opportunity discovery.
- Bring together Cisco Networking cross-functional teams in region to build a "regional team" culture and shared vision
- Team closely with Cisco Networking direct sales and systems engineering leaders from across the region to collectively complete a single technical sales vision.
- Be the regional sponsor in establishing strong working relationships with Cisco Partner Organization leaders, ensuring our business is appropriately prioritized in service of an outstanding partner experience and continued rapid growth.
- Promote the partner benefit of Cisco's cross-architecture product strategy, and use this knowledge to facilitate better collaboration across multiple Cisco teams and complete the partner’s vision.
- Team closely with Ecosystem App Developers to help expand the Cisco Marketplace, ensuring your team validates their applications meet our customer experience and platform integration standards.
Who You'll Work With In this role
You will report to the EMEA Senior Partner/SP SE Leader part of the EMEA Partner and Routes to Market Sales Team (EPRS), who are committed to fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
You will closely collaborate with several cross-functional key departments to drive our critical initiatives:
- Direct Sales/SE Team: Partner with our sales professionals to align our partner-goals and technical solutions with client needs.
- Product Management: Work with our product managers and developers to provide feedback from the field, influencing the direction of our product offerings.
- Marketing: Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and refine messaging that highlights the technical strengths of our solutions.
- Support: Track, support and drive important/urgent Support Escalations.
- Interactions with other departments like HR/Recruitment, Operations, Supply-Chain when of relevance.
Who You Are:
Minimum requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a pre-sales engineer or solutions architect
- Demonstrated sales leadership ability in motivating teams, overachieving targets, and successfully winning large complex deals
- Broad industry knowledge of networking or software industry sales cycle, and validated negotiation techniques
- Extensive understanding of wired and wireless networks, routing/switching, firewalls, SD-WAN and MPLS-based Wide Area Networks
- Deep knowledge of the Channel Reseller Partner and Managed Service Provider landscape within the region
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous people leadership experience
- CCIE, CWNE, CCNP or equivalent certification
- Experience with object-oriented software development languages, such as Python, C/C++
- Outstanding communication skills in crafting stories and presenting to partners
- Demonstrated strong organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines
This role requires travel regionally up-to 50%

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.
Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
