We are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to build, manage, and evolve the Cisco Meraki Cloud Product Management team’s processes and operations. In this role, you will own and lead new development of processes that create operational alignment across the growing Product organization.

The Chief of Staff will partner with PM leaders, team members, and others within Operations, Strategy, Marketing, Engineering, and other areas on programs and processes that optimize collaboration, streamline processes, and communicate our strategy. This position will report to the Meraki & Wireless Chief of Staff and is an outstanding opportunity with a substantial capacity for impact across a growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Product Management and leadership team, providing insights and support on strategic decisions to support Cisco Meraki's business goals
  • Lead business operations for the organization including planning, budget and forecast
  • Collaborate with product managers, technical marketing engineers, engineering leads, design leads and other partners to streamline and accelerate the product development processes
  • Design and implement processes that improve organization health and collaboration such as team all hands, gathering and improving on employee feedback, product strategy presentations, and roadmap communication.
  • Lead and support talent development strategies including, learning and development programs, mentorship and career plans for the team
  • Facilitate collaboration within the product management team and across other departments to ensure alignment on shared goals and priorities
  • Assist with the creation of executive-level presentations and reports to communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Establish ongoing management and implementation of new processes and tools and actively recommend and drive improvements
  • Build and optimize meaningful and collaborative relationships across the organization
  • Partner with leaders to develop team staffing plans and organizational designs, ensuring the organization is aligned priorities and compensation strategies are consistent across the team

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of demonstrated ability in product management, product operations, strategy, Chief of Staff or a related role at a technology company
  • Experience managing operations and facilitating strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels to converge towards common goals
  • High EQ to identify emotional needs of the team, nurture team relationships, and foster an inclusive and empathetic work environment
  • Strong background in project management
  • Strategic thinker and creative problem-solver
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias towards action and experimentation to drive progress

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
