What You'll Do

Software Simple is hiring a Business Development Manager for our Americas Business Desk. The ideal candidate will align with internal stakeholders to develop Cisco Enterprise Agreement opportunities, build pipeline, and execute to close. This will include working directly with Field and Virtual Sales Account Teams as a subject matter expert on Buying Programs, the Enterprise Agreement Management Platform and relevant resources. You will support the entire sales process from prospect to close. During the sales cycle, you will collaborate with multiple areas of the business including Sales and Partner Leadership, Finance, Operations, and Business Entities to ensure a seamless experience demonstrating Cisco’s ability to meet and exceed stated SLA’s. Lastly, you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally on business-critical projects that allow Cisco to scale, promote customer success, and overall increase the bottom line.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Driving incremental software revenue to exceed revenue targets
  • Automate the ever-evolving software sales process with a focus on execution and excellence to drive scale
  • Develop sales proposals & TCO’s for Enterprise Agreements
  • Maintain knowledge base and deliver closed-loop feedback to ensure continuous process optimization and encourage independent selling
  • Align with designated field territory to provide end to end support of the software portfolio with a focus on Enterprise Agreements including offer structure, legal, finance, and sales process
  • Proactively manage escalations and cross functional involvement with (Legal, Finance, Ops)
  • Provide Reporting and Trending on relevant metrics across the software portfolio
  • Communicate progress towards stated goals while continuing to refine the platform, process, and policy for the field
  • Support additional ad hoc projects as needed to accelerate the business

You will be the critical navigator for your internal stakeholders as we sail through uncharted waters. Your exceptional communication skills and process knowledge are essential to shortening the sales cycle and simplifying selling software for the field.

  • Proficient with Powerpoint and Excel
  • 3 years sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Ability to travel 20% domestically
  • Coachable and hungry to learn
