WHAT YOU'LL DO


As the Business Architect – Product Data and Lifecycle Management you will leverage your prior NPI, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and product master data experience, along with your successful track record implementing enterprise solutions, to design, develop, implement and transform the Product Data and Product Lifecycle processes for the Cisco Components Business. The Component Business start-up like environment will empower and allow you to demonstrate your strengths as a leader with vision. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Lead Component Business Model product data and product lifecycle management strategic priorities


- Product Lifecycle Process Development & Deliverables Management: Build robust policies, procedures across CBM business units and establish framework for product cross-functional core teams to guide stages of development and operations.


- Design blueprint to build a scaled CBM PLM system to centralize and harmonize multi-tenant product data into a common platform while ensuring seamless retirement strategy for existing platforms.


- Deploy best practices and design decisions around topics such as Item number policy, revision & versioning policy, taxonomy and attribution, change management, governance and stewardship.


- Lead Product Data Hub Daily Operations: RAID management (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions), Lead product data working councils, overall product data governance, guide product and item data stewards, handle Oracle PD/PDH prioritization of enhancements & changes, lead Role Administration & Management, and supervise end to end operations across systems


- Continuous improvement of existing PLM configuration, business processes and harmonization


- Manage Product Data Organizational Change Management including communications, training, impact assessment, stakeholder management.


- Build cross-functional, cross business unit relationships to help influence changes to support the component business Cisco wide.


WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH


The Business Architect – Product Data and Lifecycle Management role is very cross functional. You will work closely with Supply Chain Transformation, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Suppliers, Customers and Cisco IT. Additionally, the Product Data Management lead will regularly inform and seek the support from the Component Central and Senior Business Unit executives.


WHO YOU ARE


- You are a hands-on Supply Chain professional with prior experience leading Product Data and Product Lifecyle transformation projects.


- Prior work experience implementing new products and managing products throughout the lifecycle in an Engineering or Operations role


- Prior experience integrating multiple distinct businesses into one common business solution and process set.


- You excel at developing and implementing business processes, metrics, and continuous improvement roadmaps.


- A natural leader who loves to manage large programs and people.


- Ambitious, creative, self-starter


- Experience with Oracle Fusion PD and PDH a plus.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


- BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience


- 7+ years Product Lifecycle management experience


- Full lifecycle PLM enterprise application implementation experience


- Hands on experience with manufacturing product structure (Items, BOM’s, Routings)


- Proven track record of building lifecycle business processes and procedures from ground up


- Experience leading system design, integration, and deployment in a complex, integrated environment


- Knowledge of change management, BOM management, CAD, ERP, PLM, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)


- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills. Capable of working and influencing across multiple functions to establish the required alignment to set up and sustain a robust model for configuration and control.


- Understanding of end-to-end operations business architectures


- You are results oriented, ambitious, flexible, and able to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
