Your Impact

As a Business Analyst in the Revenue Planning group, your primary focus will be on improving forecast accuracy. This includes running the alignment of bookings, revenue, and unit signals across multiple functions within the business. We are seeking a highly analytical supply chain professional with a strong background in forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, and revenue planning. You should have expertise in aggregating and acting on information from Sales, Finance, Manufacturing Operations, Partners/Customers, Pricing, and Marketing, using advanced analytics to build the most accurate bookings, build, ship, and revenue forecasts.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in refining the accuracy of our revenue plans, which will drive the entire supply chain fulfillment engine, both internally and with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and analysis to create the BE/Product Family Shipped Revenue forecast, ensuring alignment between Supply Chain Operations, BU Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Corporate Finance.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Fulfillment teams, Planning, and Manufacturing Operations to ensure forecast accuracy, meeting plan targets, and achieving Product Family and product line accuracy (BE/BSE) to support the company’s Gross Margin forecast.
  • Collaborate with the Business Planning Manager in the Product Planning & Fulfillment organization to adopt a driver-based framework for OPT level execution aligned with the Corporate and BE Operating Plan.
  • Work with the Transformation team and Systems, Data, and Analytics team to test and refine the tools, systems, and data that enable accurate revenue planning and execution orchestration.
  • Supply to the development of training and onboarding materials for new hires in the Global Planning team to integrate seamlessly into the Revenue Planning and Operating Plan process.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • You have 5+ years of experience in analytical roles, with a strong ability to solve ambiguous problems using a data-driven approach. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science/applications, operations research, supply chain management, statistics, or other quantitative teams is required.
  • You possess the analytical skills to assess, frame, and drive data-driven decisions, and can lead efforts to build models for "what-if" scenarios in at least two of the following tools: Excel, R, Python, PowerBI.
  • You have a validated ability to collaborate with senior team members to create elegant, user-friendly tools, models, dashboards, and applications, with a consistent track record of adoption by business users to drive value.
  • You excel at deconstructing complex problems into manageable questions, integrating the answers to create cohesive solutions to the original problem.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to quickly adapt and deliver outcomes in a short timeframe.
  • You develop in-depth knowledge of forecasting techniques, business models, and accuracy measures.
  • You possess the ability to work with coaches and mentors to develop data modeling and mining exercises, while also having the conviction to challenge senior team members with analytical and actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of accounting, financial concepts, and how business transactions are processed through systems and IT architecture.
  • Ability to provide insights to leadership, establishing connections between supply chain actions and strategic business outcomes. You initiate innovation and process improvements to drive forecast accuracy and efficiency.
  • Capable of initiating conversations to influence and drive better decisions with multiple partners, often at the Manager level. You align business needs with IT architecture, ensuring it supports effective execution at a basic level.
  • Able to present your position confidently, even in the face of resistance or unfavorable reactions. You demonstrate conviction to take risks, make decisions, and intensify when necessary to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Possess the ability to explain and influence driver-based demand, revenue, and supply.

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter.  Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
