What You’ll Do

This role is responsible for developing and executing Data platform roadmaps as part of global Customer Experience (CX) Product Management team to grow recurring revenue and improve adoption and renewals. Data [including content, IC, insights] & Data platforms are the new currency and critical for Cisco to deliver key business outcome to its customers and partners.

You will be responsible for owning data platform strategy that enables features to be then built on CX platforms, publish well-crafted product roadmaps as well as very detailed business/product requirements documents based on product management acumen, technical expertise & well researched customer insights. This includes gathering requirements, build backlog, prioritizing development, and delivering new features to be incorporated into new offers and releases.

You will interlock and stay aligned with key Product, Engineering & Sales leadership stakeholders. You will also drive identification of credible third-party technology partners for co-development and collaboration.

Who You Are

You have at least 11-12 yrs experience as a “customer obsessed” product manager in a large Enterprise or consumer/e-commerce/webscale Internet organization with proven experience of working with data-related products or platforms. You have experience building large scale & highly reliable data products or platforms serving thousands of customers or millions of consumers. You are passionate about leadership role in data products/technologies and have solid understanding of AI/ML concepts as well as data platform architecture(s) both on-premises and in the Cloud. You have successfully collaborated with Data Platform teams and can easily engage in conversations with Data practitioners. You enjoy being the voice of customer [VOC] to gather and bring feedback, new requirements back into the organization.

To be successful you'll cultivate an executive presence and bring a strong mix of product management and customer experience specific acumen coupled with strategic vision and magnificent execution. You are detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable to a changing environment. You have strong analytical abilities and have a comprehensive understanding of Cisco product and CX strategy. You have the ability to collaborate, lead and work under pressure in a fast-paced matrixed organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. You've achieved a Bachelor's degree, with Masters’ degree or MBA strongly preferred
  2. You have a minimum of 11-12 years' dynamic experience in Product Management, product marketing/strategy or Consulting role
  3. Experience with shipping data products and/or architecting real-time pipelines, designing AI/ML powered applications, and helping build large-scale data platforms to deliver business outcomes
  4. Strong Agile practitioner with solid understanding of product backlogs, epics and user stories. Experience with Rally or Jira a must as well as Scrum or Kanban
  5. Data & metrics driven with a knack of defining the undefined and breaking it down into achievable goals. Willingness to say “NO” and uphold positions with data & insights
  6. Problem solver with “learn-it-all” mindset constantly looking to acquire new product management skills in a rapidly evolving organization
  7. Proven track record to negotiate and influence actions of team members outside of function
  8. Basic knowledge of in-memory databases [MySQL, MongoDB, Redis], and graph databases [Neo4J, Degraph] needed. Familiarity with machine log analytics such as Splunk, ELK or Sumo Logic a bonus

Desired Skills

  1. Experience with roadmap(s) for migrating on-premises Data Platforms to Cloud.
  2. Ability to see around the corner, spot market and customer adoption transitions and make required adjustments to product roadmaps as needed
  3. Ability to identify, prioritize and deliver measurable results using frameworks and sound business practices, understanding cross-functional dependencies
  4. Strong business and technical writing skills, coupled with outstanding presentation abilities esp. to Sr leadership
  5. Experience with Data Platform monetization, revenue generation and pricing models
  6. Well-developed partnership, collaboration and project management skills
  7. Self-starter, change agent with high degree of passion and positive attitude
