About the Team

About the Role:

We are looking for a strong Project Manager for our Roadmap Funnel. Your job is to understand the needs of our enterprise customers (inbound) and represent them in product roadmap discussions. You’ll also be driving the communication of roadmap decisions back to AppDynamics employees and customers (outbound). You will:

  • Identify common customer pain points and popular feature requests from various inbound channels, such as our online community, support ticketing system, customer visits, customer advisory boards, etc.

  • Partner with Support, Sales, Customer Success and Professional Services to curate this customer input and champion the prioritized requests during product roadmapping activities.

  • Work with product managers to create a unified roadmap view that incorporates customer input.

  • Collaborate with product marketing on developing a roadmap narrative, and socialize this narrative across AppDynamics. This includes developing sales/post-sales enablement of the roadmap.

  • Represent product management and development in engagements with the field, to provide status of various roadmap initiatives and use the roadmap narrative in a way that addresses the concerns of strategic customers.

  • Contribute to making the product development processes more effective.

About you:

You are passionate about project management and customer experience, and are intrinsically motivated by your work. You have the confidence and product/technical knowledge to successfully represent customer needs and the company in roadmap conversations. You are detail oriented, have an eye for building the 'right' thing, and a discipline to measure the success of what you have built.

  • 3+ years of Project or Product Management experience, with a consistent record of shipping software in a high growth company.

  • Understanding of and experience with agile software development and sales processes in B2B.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions across all company levels, especially without formal authority.

  • Technical acuity/curiosity, to grasp the dependencies across different components needed to deliver a great customer experience.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, leading initiatives with little guidance/push.

  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
