About You


This Education Customer Engagement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing and customer retention strategy for our enterprise software customer education program.  Through a combination of customer interaction, cross-functional collaboration, and targeted marketing campaigns, this individual will drive maximum customer engagement and exceptional renewal rates for the AppDynamics education product offerings.  Think of this role as a split between ‘marketing communications’ and ‘customer success manager’ for our education offerings. Through your subject-matter expertise of this specialized market segment, you will create targeted programs in alignment with business objectives and customer needs. You operate with a high sense of urgency and have a bias towards data-driven decisions.


About this role

The charter for this role is to scale our Education P&L and optimize renewal rates through a combination of strategic customer communications and post-sales support.  Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Create and run email marketing campaigns to impact registrations, active utilization, and renewals of our customer education subscriptions; lead creation of all collateral and define optimal cadence of marketing campaigns

  • Own the metrics around utilization and renewals of the Education product portfolio.

  • Initiate customer-facing programs designed to drive further adoption of Education among our customers; operationalize the process of gathering and incorporating market and customer feedback to improve our Education product strategy

  • Develop go-to-market strategies that drive awareness and demand generation campaigns for customer consumption of Education offerings.

  • Partner with Education, Services, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing on driving Education consumption.


Candidate Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience building, running, and optimizing email marketing campaigns for enterprise software customers; demand generation campaign experience related to enterprise software education offerings strongly desired.

  • Experience interacting with and supporting enterprise level customers in some capacity, whether account management, customer support, marketing communications, customer success, or related functions.

  • Internal stakeholder management experience across groups such as education, services, customer success, sales, and marketing.

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience, ideally Salesforce.

  • Experience leveraging Learning Management System (LMS) solutions strongly preferred
