Position Description 


The Commercial Enablement Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the Commercial sales org. This role is responsible for the identification, design, and delivery of key enablement projects and aligns them with the strategy and plan in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Enablement Programs, in accordance to the global organizational success metrics for sales enablement (Ramp, Productivity, Retention). 


This role develops and maintains the enablement department’s measurement and reporting processes, including performance dashboards and key performance indicators. You’ll partner closely with sales, SEs, product marketing and multiple additional business units. The goal is to build a machine that efficiently aligns people, processes, and priorities with relevant learnings, communication, and coaching. 


Responsibilities 


  • Own the entire enablement experience (onboarding and continued education) for the (West/East) Commercial organization. 

  • Suggest and execute new and innovative ideas/programs to your management team and primary stakeholder - Commercial leadership. 

  • Build relationships with a wide variety of internal stakeholders to understand their goals, their challenges, and maintain a plan for how you can help. 

  • Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and view the Sales Enablement program as a force multiplier. 

  • Take a data-driven and analytical approach to deciding on future initiatives, as well as performance management to quantify the impact of existing programs. 


Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, communications, or relevant field of study – or equivalent practical experience. 

  • Teaching / Coaching Experience on Sales related topics is a plus 

  • The single most important characteristic we are looking for is showing initiative, be prepared to share previous examples or articulate suggestion for what you might bring to this role. Charismatic, great presence, deep empathy, and sharp on the product. 

  • Ability to deliver results in a fast moving, highly matrixed environment. 

  • Deep understanding of sales process, sales tools (Outreach, SalesNav, DiscoverOrg, OneMob) and enablement strategies. 

  • Outstanding organization and time management skills - strong business acumen with an ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks 

  • Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment and less defined organization 

  • Strong analytical skills and an attention to detail T

  • Team player with highly effective interpersonal skills and an ability to work cross functionally and at all levels of the organization. 

  • National role supporting multiple regions, 20-30% travel may be required. 


Desired Skills And Experience 


  • 2+ years of sales, sales development, or enablement experience. 

  • Familiarity with Sales tools and Sales enablement tools; Salesforce, Seismic, Sales Navigator, DiscoverOrg, OneMob, Mindtickle. 

  • Occasional domestic and possible international travel required. 


The ideal candidate will be a go-getter that wants to drive a major impact on the success of AppDynamics Commercial organization. 


The candidate will need to become a strong proponent of the AppDynamics sales process, understand the surrounding technology ecosystems, and the critical value cases that drive value and new customer revenue. Being hungry, creative, and an excellent communicator matters more in this position than prior training experience.
