Meet the Team
Operations is a critical part of our Americas Sales organization and is integral to our ongoing transformation and growth. The Business Analyst role, covering strategic projects and leadership priorities, is a highly collaborative position whose goal is to support transformational change and utilization of business processes, systems and technology that impacts our Leaders and Sales teams.
Your Impact
We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in growing teams, and solving problems with minimal oversight and a proven track record in project management.
In this role, you will:
- Identify and analyze trends from historical and current data, to determine and provide guidance for key growth focus areas across our CAI business
- Partner with our AI leaders, Strategy and planning, and sales teams to derive and track metrics, par
- Determine key performance indicators and metrics, by architecture and sales segment, for our CAI leadership
- Work with the Americas Architecture Strategy & Planning team to develop and report on consistent performance metrics to Sales leaders on determined KPI’s for specific sales initiatives and key sales metrics
- Project and program management for specific campaigns and initiatives when needed
- Project and operational management for sales enablement strategy and activities for the Americas CAI teams
- Creating and influencing insights strategy, working with CAI leaders and sales team, leading the gathering of business requirements for dashboard development and quarterly/monthly business observations, by creating mockups, and provide sales visibility to leaders
- You will ensure alignment across our WW Architecture team, Strategy and Planning, Operations, Partner and Marketing teams
- You have strong experience with analyzing data and providing insights to create and support sales projects and initiatives
- You have a familiarity with providing detailed reporting from Centro, Salesforce, FinBI, and HANA
- You have a deep knowledge set of developing insights and working across business intelligence teams
- You have worked in cross matrixed environments with track record of success in program management of initiatives, SPIFFs, and seller enablement
- You have cross-functional project management skills and ensure proper level of follow-through and measurement
- You have an ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, and professionally communicate completion to leadership teams
- Understands a seller mentality and providing the tools needed to execute across rotating priorities
- Self-motivated/self-starter who takes initiative and can lead projects from start to execution
- Well organized who can lead through influence and example, stay on task, and motivate others to execute assigned tasks
- Can demonstrate examples where you have managed successful programs & initiatives
- You have strong executive presence
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS
2 plus experience in a business analyst or related role.
Preferred Qualification
- Program and Project management experience with cross functional teams driving to a common goal (WW and GEO based preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills and experience simplifying the complex into clear and concise messaging
- Experience in Strategy and Planning across field sales, Architecture Sales, Engineering, and Sales Operations
- Experience advising senior leadership to drive outcomes and influence action
- Typically requires BS/BA or equivalent.
- Excellent “team first” mentality with the ability to bring others along for a common goal

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
