What You'll Do

You’ll be joining the SerDes System Algo team at Cisco Silicon One group as part of the silicon development at Cisco.

Our team deals with Modem, System Modeling, and Signal Processing of SerDes devices.

We use the latest silicon technologies and processes to build the largest scale and most complex devices at the edge of feasibility.

You'll be joining our Cisco Silicon One High Speed, which is at the center of Cisco’s ASIC group.

You'll be part of our group driving our game-changing next-generation network devices - Cisco Silicon One™.

Our unique and small team works in a startup atmosphere inside a stable and leading corporation.

Our design center is unique - hosting all silicon HW and SW development disciplines inside one site.

We are transforming the industry and building a new internet for AI networks, and the 5G era, providing a unified, programmable silicon architecture that is the foundation of all Cisco's future routing products.

The work will be 3 times from our offices in Tel- Aviv (Midtown, next to train station)  and once a week from Caesarea. 


Who You Are

  • Electrical Engineer with 3 years experience
  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail is a must, ensuring accuracy and precision in algorithm development.
  • Adaptable: Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, able to navigate through evolving project requirements.
  • Experience with Modem Technology: Proficient in modem technologies and protocols is essential.
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP): Strong background in digital signal processing, with the ability to effectively process and analyze digital signals.
  • MATLAB Proficiency: Experience with MATLAB is mandatory for algorithm development and testing.
  • Modem Configuration: Proven experience in modem configuration and optimization.
  • Experience with lab work – advantage

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
