What you'll do

Cisco seeks a finance professional for Accounting Acquisition Integration. This position is looked upon as a trusted business advisor and partner. In this position you will be empowered to make a difference, establish a reputation, and position yourself for continued growth.

  • Spearhead and lead statutory audit and tax filings in various geographies
  • Responsible for Month Close activities: Review and ensure smooth month end close which includes Expense Accruals, Fixed Asset Depreciation, Prepaid Expense Amortizations, Transfer Pricing, and Intercompany Settlements
  • Prepare, Review and Approve General Ledger Reconciliations: Opex Accruals, Tax Provisions, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounts, Goodwill, Intangible Assets etc
  • Prepare Quarterly and Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L Flux Analysis for management reporting
  • Monitoring the health & hygiene of the account balances vide timely and quality account reconciliations
  • Review the financial results in the local GL and in the Consolidation GL for the Acquired entities and confirm that it includes all the entries required to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Compare the Trial Balance per local GL to the Trial Balance per Consolidation GL and ensure that no differences have been identified. And provide details and comments for any differences
  • Responsible to ensure that all account reconciliations for the prior month have been appropriately completed, reviewed, and signed off and clear any significant reconciling items in the current month
  • Responsible to notify the Corporate Controllers Group of any material adjustments to current period reconciliations and provide comments on significant outstanding reconciling items
  • Review the Intercompany accounts and ensure that there are no unidentified differences
  • Ensure strict compliance with Cisco’s Policies and Procedures for Accounting and Reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all reconciliations have sufficient supporting documentation to substantiate current balances
  • Identify and communicate any foreign exchange (FX) errors and issues to the controllership team and document them in the reconciliations.
  • Work on Process improvements, Desktop Procedures, trainings, and knowledge sharing sessions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and drive process changes to improve efficiency

You will have an opportunity to work cross functionally with Business Finance as well as Corporate Development, Tax, Legal, and Treasury. This position resides in Global Accounting & Reporting (GAR).

The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail with strong Excel skills, collaboration and interpersonal skills, and the ability to efficiently partner and influence colleagues; as well as experience with Statutory audits, intercompany accounting, FX.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • CA / ICWA / MBA with of 5-9 years’ experience
  • Hands on experience in handling legal entity controllership activities as per US GAAP, IFRS and IGAAP
  • Hands on knowledge of Oracle Financials ERP, Microsoft Navision, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, PPT, Word and other office tools

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
