As an Account Manager at Cisco, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, responsible for nurturing and handling relationships while shaping and executing the sales strategy for the Public Sector sales team in UAE.
You’ll be involved in groundbreaking projects, with your success reflected in both sales achievements and long-term customer satisfaction.
The location for this requisition is Abu Dhabi -UAE and the successful applicant, although the role is hybrid, should be located win Abu Dhabior willing to relocate there.
Who You'll Work With
The Account Manager (AM)- role contributes to Cisco by delivering a well-managed, profitable, and growing business through outstanding relationship management and sales-excellence practices where the customer views the AM as a trusted-advisor. The AM is encouraged to deliver Sales Quality in Relationship Management, Opportunity Management and Business Management enabled through tools, processes, executive engagement, and collaboration with extended teams.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with Global Virtual Sales, Marketing, Central/EMEAR teams, Capital, Distribution, and various technology teams. You'll drive Cisco sales through our partners while delivering our vision and products to the market, energizing the entire region.
What You’ll Do
- Expand the wallet share in the accounts / territory through year-over-year percentage increase in customer addressable revenue and thereby continue to elevate Cisco's strategic position.
- Pipeline and forecast management as per the defined metrics.
- Drive business value in every discussion and proposal presented.
- Achieving a better competitive landscape in the account.
- Developing a deeper understanding of the market and an in-depth knowledge of the customer's industry and core business process.
- Gaining a more in-depth focus on industry or vertical solutions to meet customer needs, and the business value proposition that Cisco offers in helping customers meet their challenges and business opportunities.
- Finding efficient ways to sell with an understanding of current business environment through creative opportunity creation, deal structuring, value propositions, etc., that demonstrates our ability help customers reduce costs and get efficient value for their investment.
- Ability to develop complex account plans, planning and execution of the same.
- Builds positive relationships with senior executives and business decision makers and have ability to influence them.
Your Skills:
- 7+ years of technology sales experience
- Experience in selling to Public Sector (Government) accounts is a must.
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Awareness of Cisco product, service and solutions, processes etc.
- We are looking for self-starters, strong closer with multi-tasking abilities.
- Candidates should be based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate there.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
