What You'll Do:

As an ASIC Component Engineer in Cisco's Supply Chain Organization you will work in an invigorating environment with a multi-functional team of specialists bringing to market an exciting array of new Networking ASIC components and associated platforms. We partner with our supply chain to establish capable technologies and manufacturing processes to meet our Semiconductor component needs. We work with our internal ASIC development teams and hardware engineering groups to ensure detailed integration and launch of the ASIC device in our platforms. Your role is instrumental in establishing conditions for fast time to quality in manufacturing and engineering a solution for the long- term reliability of the ASIC platform.

Who You’ll Work With

We integrated with the Technology and Quality group. We collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group of specialists from Product and Manufacturing Operations, Hardware and ASIC engineering, GSM, Test/DFT development and sophisticated technology groups. You will partner with each of these teams to understand the application environment for the ASIC and facilitate integration, tackle issues during NPI and advise on mitigation for risk in case of marginal performance. You will understand the platform eco-system into which the device will be coordinated and the impact of the eco-system on initial quality and long-term reliability.

Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced contributor with good understanding of Network Platform architecture and foundational understanding of factors impacting semiconductor performance and reliability. The ideal candidate would be able to lead multi-functional teams in an environment that values partnership and collaboration, that and have experience addressing executive level staff - both internal and customer facing. The key person should have a keen eye open for what can go wrong and what to do to help tackle it proactively.

The minimum requirements for this role include:

  • 8-10+ years of Engineering experience.
  • Understanding of ASIC and Network system level architecture
  • Broad understanding of semiconductor device functions and their Interoperability in a Network Platform eco-system.
  • Familiarity with platform testing/debug
  • Familiarity with component test development and semiconductor device characterization.
  • Shown success in delivering results in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Methodical and detail oriented.
