The Business Development Manager in Cisco is the key contact for our Service Providers and Managed Service Provider Partners and will be responsible for owning and nurturing the relationships, building and executing the Go to Market as well as Sales Acceleration strategies in APJC. In this role, you will have the responsibility to drive and help to lead Cisco’s Sales Acceleration and Enablement efforts with a focus on key service providers and managed service providers serving the SMB customer segment. Your success will reflect in small business segment sales achievements, strategic organizational alignment, and execution of strategic business objectives.

What You'll Do
  • The right candidate that we are looking for shall be a ‘Doer’ and self-starter that has experience in working with SP and MSPs and that has a successful track record leading the execution. You are able to work effectively in large organizations, building and leading cross-functional teams.  
  • Develop comprehensive & impactful SP/MSPaaCH sales acceleration plans for Cisco SMB sales, channels, and distribution teams.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams across the Cisco partner organization, in-theater Sales/Channels/Distribution teams, and product management teams for SMB service and offer creations
  • Regularly interlock with field sales/channel teams to uncover new strategic needs and subsequently execute those via pilot initiatives and replicate for scale.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Cisco’s key products, in particular on Cloud portfolio, as well as experience of the ecosystem and industry partnerships.

Who You Are
  • You are capable of executing on your own when needed but eager to lead cross-functional and multi-company teams to scale and extend your impact. Experience in working with channel partners in the context of their managed services practices with a focus on small and medium-size customers.
  • 10+ years’ experience in channel sales, direct sales, or business development with a technology company.
  • Strong understanding of SP or MSP business model and care about.
  • Experience in helping channel partners develop and grow their managed services and SaaS practices.
  • Experience in building and maintaining complex project plans spanning broad, diverse organizations
  • A keen understanding of relationship development and influence in highly matrixed environments
  • Financial aptitude with excel business case modeling and/or budget development
  • Comfortable in a remote team working environment; self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – an ability to graphically represent new ideas and concepts to executive leader
  • Subject matter and technical expertise in relevant Cisco solutions with a focus on Cisco’s Cloud, Collaboration, and SaaS Security solutions for SP and MSPs.
  • Education: BS/BA or equivalent in a related field
