As a Customer Experience Technical Consulting Engineer, you will work on leading-edge technology with a keen focus on enabling Cisco’s global customers to achieve successful business outcomes. The TCE focuses on ensuring our customers are able to fully utilize their network services by addressing technical issues and preventing costly down time. You will:


Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in network services

As a Technical Consulting Engineer, you are tasked with resolving our customers’ hardest problems. You will become a technical expert in a Cisco product or solution. You will resolve customer networks in real time, decipher logs, recreate issues in our advanced labs, collaborate with Cisco Engineering to find, investigate and fix software and hardware bugs, and more. Coupling your technical expertise and customer management skills, you will become the trusted technical advisor our customers turn to in their hour of need.


Create digitized intellectual capital to build Cisco’s technical knowledge base

As part of a specialized technology team, you will work directly with customers of all types and sizes from all over the world. TCE's work with customer and partner engineers to not only restore their network functionality, but their confidence in Cisco’s products and solutions. Customers turn to us to resolve problems, and we are the best at it.


Training & Onboarding 

As a newly hired TCE, you will join a cohort of your peers in our onboarding program designed to build your technical expertise in Cisco-specific technologies and develop your customer management skills. This dynamic program gets you ready to work on one of our specialized technology teams.


Location: 

If offered a position as a full-time Technical Consulting Engineer, you will the choice to work from any permanent location in the United States or relocate, with our assistance, to work from our Richardson, Texas or  Research Triangle Park, North Carolina offices, provided our offices are open to employees and you meet our office access requirements.

If you choose to work remotely, your working hours will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm or 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm Eastern Time and therefore may be different from normal business hours at your location. You will be required to obtain home Internet service of sufficient speed and reliability to maintain acceptable voice / video quality on high-definition calls. 


Who You Are

  • Recent graduate or in your final year of study for an Associates, Bachelors, or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., networking, computer science, IT, engineering)
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated continuous and self-guided learning in a technology field
  • Passion for networking, IT, computer science, or any technical field; and knowledge of adjacent technologies
  • Ability to multi-task, work in a dynamic team environment, and work independently
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • Eligible to start August 2022
  • Able to legally live and work in the country for which you’re applying, without visa support or sponsorship
  • Cisco or industry certifications a plus
